15 mins ago Hillary announced in Egypt that a cease fire has been reached and agreed to by all parties.

developing....

Hillary 2016!

.
This is a primarily an initial ceasefire, the parties involved have will now work on each other demands. stopping flow of arms and missiles into Gaza,Sinai and stop the missiles fired into Israel and opening of Gaza sea lanes.

. .
Egypt is taken the role of being a regional power and is brokering this deal with the US. As as far as the politics goes- to be noted: Turkey, as the article I posted here earlier, is AWOL and has relinquished their power status in this region to Egypt because it's head was more about bluster and making radical statements. Interesting if you are a foreign buff as I am. they were not invited to table to help resolve this...

. . .
13 rockets fired since the so called cease fire

Did you expect anything else from Arabs? I know your answer but some people here are unaware of what an Arab's word is worth.

no one is reporting such. There was a time the ceasefire was supposed to be in effect from. I'm watching CNN here and nothing of this sort is reported..

obviously it will take time for the word to spread and orders passed down the chain of command....

i am sure many mortars must have landed in Gaza from Israeli cannons...since the cease fire...

Then i suggest you change channels because the news channel you're watching doesn't deem 13 rockets fired at Israel after the "ceasefire" to be news worthy.

Not a single one, unfortunately.

May be because Hamas crude rockets rarely do any damage if at all...

No us Qatar and Egypt before ceasefire came together and made a plan for ceasefire so don't talk without knowing. It's natural for Egypt to do the final negotiations. Congrats to Egypt

Congratulations, Hamas and Egyptians, on getting such a comprehensive deal done.
Now it is up to you to control the other jihadist groups. That includes making sure *they* don't import weapons into Gaza or the West Bank. For that *is* part of the agreement, isn't it? To not bring weapons in through those eased blockades?
If you hold up to that part of your agreement, you will gain more of my idealogical support in dealing with Israeli arrogance.

.
Hamas, please don't mistake my own last post for arrogance.

If you don't buy weapons, but instead invest in:
- schools
- hospitals
- bomb shelters
- business opportunities (creating jobs to sustain a local economy with)
- (hardened) internet infrastructure (if only internally)
- air sirens and radars (instead of bombs and rockets)
then you will legitimize your rule of Gaza, Hamas, not just internally, but INTERNATIONALLY very strongly as well.

If you don't create too many crude easy-to-make weapons, then you restrict yourselves in how many rockets you can send out during a cry for attention that I think your recent escalation was. If those numbers of rockets and bombs you send out come down during any next round of violence between you and the Israelis, then you'll prove yourselves worthy of more idealogical support from westerners. Not just from me, but also from highly respected (ex-)government leaders here in the West, as I've seen happening on twitter during this most recent exchange of violence in Israel and Palestine.

if you then add policing the other jihadist groups to your list of tasks, and recognize much like the egyptians that there is much more pleasure (for yourselves and your people) in co-operating to an extent with the western nations, then you will have become a true political party, more and more out of reach for lethal strikes by your (former) foes.

over time, once you are a political party with perhaps a "hidden"/"secret" guerilla army that is capable of striking at military targets only (for instance, the Israelis tend to mass troops outside your borders. You could send just a few rockets at those positions, then return to silence again), we can discuss creating real land corridors (highways with bycicle lanes ;) between Gaza and the West Bank. We can discuss the refugee problem, which is something I don't understand at all yet. Perhaps someone here can enlighten me in advance on the refugee problem..

But let's focus on the most immediate task; controlling your own men to stay in a nurse and politician role rather than a rocket-firing role (I stronly suggest you give all your warriors not only combat courses, but also political discussion courses), and then turning to the task of policing everyone who will not abide by the new course of the leadership of the Palestinians; Hamas+PLO.

Do I need to emphasize how much of a chance for unity between yourselves and the PLO you have at this moment?
You have 2 provinces, Palestinians. Gaza, and the West Bank. Just make it clear to everyone in Hamas AND the PLO that Gaza is ruled by Hamas (due to blood sacrificed) and the West Bank by the PLO (same reasons, but earlier(1)). Never ever turn on eachother. You need to stick together on THIS COURSE OF DE-ESCALATION AND A MOVE TOWARDS POLITICS.

(1) And Hamas, just internally give the PLO some credit for going Egyptian on the whole problem before you did.. ;)

Good luck. I think you have enough tips for now, but if I can think of any good ones, based on the news I see on CNN-US and AlJazeera English, then I'll let you know on this forum and in an update email to english@almoltaqa.ps

They are beyond taking any tip. they have accepted the truce because they can not take war any more, once they will take proper rest, they will resort it again. there is only one goal of all pallies , to destroy israel, in the long run only one state will remain, either palestine or israel, so israel have only one way to survive in my opinion..........
