Instead of Islamabad , which is nice and cozy the GHQ should have been located in strategic location centrally in country

So that it can have a connection with all 4 provinces in country

Since Pindi is my hometown , so I did not mind GHQ in that city

GHQ should be built near Islamabad (new) airport, close to railway line.

CDA is no authority to decide on defense matters.

Incompetent CDA finance its operations by selling plots instead of collecting taxes from people living in Islamabad. If we allow ICT boundaries to expand in to Attock then we will see more episodes like that of Bahria town and Islamabad. Where they will forcefully buy land from locals by paying cents and sell them for crores to elites of Pakistan.

Islamabad is already too big and CDA is running out of land to sell plots.

Please first finish the Margallah Avenue connected with Tarnol to give an alternate route for bulk traffic directed towards the defense complex. GHQ will retain its residential complex in Pndi for many officers due to affordability reasons. Driving daily to and from the new GHQ to Pindi will be a nightmare on existing routes.

It is easy to see how green areas even in Islamabad are VANISHING fast

Islamabad area should be protected from further development and forest areas should be conserved

Rawalpindi should re-developed on modern grounds , town by town (Earth quake proof facilities)

Country needs to maintain some natural reserve areas for camping or tourism


The new construction if it happens in Rawalpindi will modernize infrastructure and also will reuse existing urban area we have instead of destroying green belt areas


If Rawalpindi is re-envisioned , with earth quake proof buildings , and clean roads setup
lot of population can be moved to apartments

The old towns/city has been left as it was since 1800 because of preservation but now the city looks tremendously outdated


Interior old city is badly outdated

Common architecture as far as I remember in Rawalpindi which was common across neighborhoods

Country need to buy back the land , and then Assign it to Builders , to construct clean city and resettle moved population into clean Apartments


A new area can be attained for Military in Rawalpindi area , but with proper acreage planning


Bharia town can make this construction in Islambad I am sure hey can make proper setup also in Ralwalpindi but 4-5 story apartment schemes

I think the GHQ should move, to where doesn’t matter, Pindi, Islamabad, the thar desert for all I care, experts can decide that better. But it needs a new, purpose built building. Away from the general public. The GHQ and the public being so close are a massive mutual risk to each other.

Plus the GHQ needs to be more secure, not from infiltration, but from other forms of attacks and espionage, that can be done with a purpose built building in a more remote area where a buffer zone can be created around it. Move the sensitive stuff deep underground. Make it resistant to EMP attacks. The current GHQ already has its own power supply and very secure comms and whatnot, but it could be better.
