In Ottoman sources its clearly mentioned that they were nicknamed Kızılbaş because of their Kızıl Börk(Red Hat), Kızıl Börk was actually the generic headwear of the Turkmens as we understand from sources, but for example Orhan Gazi, in order to differentiate his retainers from rest of Beyliks and poor foot soldiers, ordered them to wear Ak Börk(White Hat).

I made quite a research in this subjects but how original Kızıl and Ak Börks looked like is pretty much unknown, closest I came across to was something like this, I don't know if these are Ak and Kızıl Börks but they're quite unique.

US man declares 'Kingdom of North Sudan'

Jeremiah Heaton claimed the unclaimed territory of Bir Tawil as his own state so that his daughter could become a princess.

World Bulletin / News Desk

A US citizen by the name of Jeremiah Heaton has claimed Bir Tawil, an unclaimed 800-square-mile patch of arid desert between Egypt and Sudan, as his own and declared it the “Kingdom of North Sudan”.

Heaton, who works in the mining industry, travelled to the territory where he erected a homemade blue flag with four stars and a crown on a rocky hill and vowed to seek recognition from Egypt, Sudan and the African Union.

Asked why he went to such lengths, the father of three told Washington Post that he wanted to keep a promise to his seven-year-old daughter Emily that she would one day be a princess.

He arrived at the location on June 16, on his daughter's seventh birthday. “As a parent you sometimes go down paths you never thought you would,” he told the Washington Post.

“I wanted to show my kids I will literally go to the ends of the earth to make their wishes and dreams come true,” he said.

To actually establish his kingdom, Heaton would need legal recognition from neighboring countries, the United Nations or other groups, Sheila Carapico, a professor of political science and international studies at the University of Richmond, told the Bristol Herald Courier last week.

Heaton argues that his claim is legitimate, pointing out that other countries, including what became the United States, were claimed the same way, except whereas those occassions were acts of war, his claim was an act of love.

“I founded the nation in love for my daughter,” Heaton said.

After establishing friendly relations with neighbors, Heaton said his next plan is to convert his “kingdom” into an agricultural production center.

Halo @Kaan,

I want to ask you one thing, is it true that in the past USA rejected your proposal to buy Apache, so it resulted into your determination to make your own attack heli (with European help) ?

Wrong we did never requested Apache(its way too expensive for our needs) we wanted to license production of Supercobra but US did not agree to it(only agreed to direct sale).
