Çay Bahçesi

She could ask her mother to find out if her father coul/would agree(vermezse kaciririz) with you as his future son-in-law.
;)
Then if the answer is yes,you can get a Tek-Ta$.

Mate, i met with her parents. Also our parents met. There is no problem in this. They like me.

But still.... without officially having consent of the father... it would be weird to give her a ring.

Also.

How many times, i will give her a ring.

1-) Proposal
2-) Asking father
3-)Engagement
4-) Wedding.

I mean 4 rings ? There is something wrong here. :what:

But i'm saying there is something wrong here, there should be many rings as this.

Also, i'm against this proposal thingy..... this is Western custom, not ours....

Cant you first use permission to her father ? So at first ask the father alone, next ask the girl, third ask the father again ..?
So step 3 is actually rather symbolic.

@Sinan

Propose to father, kneel before him and show the ring :D

Lol, guys.

Anyways, i learned the prosedure.

Tek-taş and proposal.

It will be among each other, she won't wear it. Another one while asking from the father (that will be official)

Tek-taş would be memorial.

No, way.... I don't like to make scene. I will think of a modest proposal.

Man, this marriage thingy is already a hard process in Turkish culture. And having both Western and Eastern elements in our culture makes it even more difficult......

hi @monaspa
since you are the first Georgian I have ever seen on PDF, I have a few questions, if you dont mind.
* How is Russia generally perceived in Georgia, especially after the 2008 conflict?
* How do Georgians generally view Turkey and Azerbaijan on geopolitics level?
* I read before that Georgia and Armenia dont have a good relationship, is that correct?
* so in the light of all these questions and developments (be it militaristic or economically like the pipeline projects with Turkey and Azerbaijan) in the region, what is your opinion on Georgia's geopolitics? should Georgia somehow seek closer ties with Russia? closer ties with Turkey and Azerbaijan or keep neutral and balance relationships with all?

Hope all these questions wont scare you away
Welcome to PDF by the way.
first of all thank you.
1) Most of the Georgians (especially young people) hate Russia (and to be honest, August war changed nothing, it's because of events back in 90's )
2) If we are talking about Geopolitics Turkey and are partners of Georgia, if you are interested in Georgian People's opinion most of Georgians like Azerbaijan but dislike Turkey.
3) Well, Armenia is the strategic partner of Russia and often regarded as a "knife in our back" in Georgian society+ everyone in Georgia remembers well that Armenian Brigade fought on Abkhazian side in Abkhazian war + on personal level 99% of Georgians dislike Armenians. :D
4)Russia in Georgia (and IMHO in whole Region ) has upper hand, Armenia is strictly pro Russian and they can cut Georgia into pieces in several minutes (just a single look on the map is enough to see this, Russian army is several KM-s away from the main highway in Georgia which connects eastern and western parts) and if Georgia will become pro-Russian (and Russia can do this easily ) Azerbaijan will be encircled. No one in Georgia ( I am not talking about American paid stooges) wants direct confrontation with Russia, because everyone knows USA will do nothing to help us , so in case of any war between Azerbaijan and Armenia Georgia will be neutral (maybe little bit pro-Azerbaijan) and will allow both Russia and Turkey to send weapons to their allies.
