At the end would be a trade off of missiles, where Iran has logistic advantage, US bases are open ground fields for Iran, meanwhile Iran bases are deep in Iran land protected by big montains, at least the most important ones.

Just imagine this war would go for months, what real capabilities would the US have to refill all weaponry and assets destroyed....? Iran would be hammering them constantly in all directions... they only have a good shut.Just one.

They have submarines and ships, but they cannot do so much since their missiles are subsonic and can be easily shut downed by iranian air defence ssytem and electronics... tomahawk is not a big deal for Iran.

It would be extremely difficult for the US an aerial assault in Iran. They would need a large wave of fifth generation warplanes, when assured losses, and facing a powerfull countraction in form of thousands of long range missiles.

US would lose all assets in region, Iran would survive, and will show their nukes to the world.

To summary and wrap all , US is the loser does whatever does. US knows it, and only can realy in symbolic actions like the carriers in the mediterranean.
