While the basement dwellers who attempted to tank its Rotten Tomatoes score are bound to put this down to it being sandwiched between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Ant-Man and The Wasp is proof that's nonsense.

As of Monday, Captain Marvel had earned $164 million domestically and $325.6 million overseas for a mighty worldwide haul of $490 million. Today, it has sailed past the $500 million mark.
