Fans, former players question ‘experimentation’ in crunch WC match - thenews.com.pk

What’s the logic of leaving out specialist wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed when he could also bat aggressively,” wrote Miandad.

Fully agree with Miandad. Sarfraz needs to be included to provide more batting depth. Pakistan needs a proper wicket-keeper and more batting depth. Pakistan cannot rely on the top order. Akmal made a mess behind the wickets. He also made a mess in front of them with the bat. Even though the decision by the third umpire was highly questionable.

Despite the first loss, Pakistan has a decent squad that should be able to make it to the QF.

The loss against India was inevitable. Pakistan are missing some key players including Ajmal, Gul and Hafeez. They are the bulk of the Pakistani bowling line up along with Afridi and Irfan. If you take out three key bowlers you cannot expect to win against a good batting side. There are loopholes in the Pak bowling unit and the strong Indian batting line up exploited that quite cunningly.

Awwwwww for goodness sake it was not our bowling, every other match the target is 340, 350, and with Indian batting line up restricting them to 300 is very well done bowling.

Yesterday's match proved only one thing

India's weakest bowling is better than Pakistan's batting and that was it.

Pakistan only contained the Indians in the last 5 to 10 overs. The Indians were scoring at a very decent rate before that. As it turn out, even 300 proved too much on an otherwise good batting pitch. Pakistan have mostly been poor chasers. That is a fact.

I'm not a pessimist though. Pakistan will pull through eventually. This is a good wake up call for the Pakistan team. We have done it before. The Indians are on a high horse at the moment. They will soon face reality by facing stronger teams such as SA and even the likes of Ireland. No one cannot be taken lightly. Mark my words.

Pakistan is never good at chasing. The likes of Inzamam, Yousuf, are missing. To chase 280 or above you have to keep the score board ticking with 1s and 2s. When was the last time Pakistan chased a score above 300 against good team, (They did chase against Bangladesh. But think of the pitch if BD was able to score above 300 against Pakistan bowling. When they are at 79-1 or some thing, instead pf putting pressure back at India, they took pressure on to themselves.

Indian bowling was worst all batsman out playing third class shots, the only one thing different among the teams was Fielding, We drop two catches and missed a clear run out while two fielders tried to stamp wickets like they playing PITTHU GARAM. Indian grab all catches. Pitch was heaven for batsman.

We aren't too hopeful of our team doing well...so no one needs to mark your words because we know it from much before.

This is our most mediocre lineup.
