(TORONTO) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is quarantining himself at home after his wife exhibited flu-like symptoms.

Trudeau’s office said Thursday that Sophie Grégoire Trudeau returned from a speaking engagement in Britain and had mild flu-like symptoms, including a low fever late, Wednesday night.

She is being tested for the COVID-19 disease and is awaiting results.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Prime Minister is opting to self-isolate and work from home until receiving Sophie’s results,” the statement said.

I believe "orange clown" is only president in US, why is he responsible for Canada? It is surprising how the virus is spreading in North America, but there are travel restrictions in US, I am not aware of any measures Canada took so far

canadian airports were already on high alert at least since January 31 when I traveled back from USA. us airports on that day, not much. Canada got burned by SARS before. it knows better than USA.

Usa will impact us too. Over 400k candians and usa citizens cross border daily. Our 85 percent business related to usa. Problem is usa has many community based transmissions while canada so far we didnt have it yet. So if within usa this spread canada will too.
Travel restrictions wont work in usa anymore. That time has already passed.

Orange clown said its a liberal hoax. And two weeks ago he said it will go down like as in miracle. not so comforting. As you can see dow is down almost 25 percent from peak.
