Canada wants to use Pak bases for Afghan pullout

.
I think Pakistan should allow them. There is no reason to create a bitterness between the countries. Good international relations start with small gestures, and lead up to major co-operations. Canada might not be a strategic ally of Pakistan, but it is a humanitarian one. Examples are the recent floods and previous earthquake. So, if Pakistan refuses to help Canada leaving the war-zone, it might give the impression that Pakistan is not a grateful nation. This might prove damaging in future natural disasters.

Canada appears to be asking for the use of Pakistani bases to manage its withdrawal from Afghanistan, and is not asking for any sort of long term military base leases or presence.

I don't see anything wrong with allowing them to do so, provided it does not impact our own military and resources.

It's good bucks too. There should be no objections.

This was after they got kicked out of UAE. Now the NATO realize there is no way other than Pakistan. I see some joint covert diplomatic action together with our Arabi friends to force NATO into loss. First Pakistan closes the route second UAE kicked out Canada from using airbase and Saudis issue a massive reconstruction aid to war ravaged areas! Good going!

Canada may use Pakistan’s military bases

LAHORE: Pakistan is considering a request from Canada to allow use of its military base during the scheduled withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, a private TV channel reported on Thursday. According to a source in Foreign Ministry, Canada wanted to use Pakistan’s military infrastructure to remove troops and supplies from Afghanistan. Canada made the request several months ago, prior to its eviction from the semi-secret military base in the UAE. daily times monitor

even the Emiratys snubbed these Canadians.....what guarantees can Pakistan give?

. .
Whats wrong in that? We must allow them and encourage other NATO members to leave A'stan.

.
We should not allow them.
What we done against them but still they run in the world to screw us.
for example they signed deal with raw in order to share intellegence regarding Pakistan.
so its our time to f---- them.

.
its only logical that they withdraw through karachi port - it is the only port available which can handle their 900 or 9000 container loads - the troops will probably fly directly from baghram to canada on C-17s.

it will give us a good experience in handling such loads as in the near future we expect the US and NATO to withdraw in the same manner through the same route.

Appx 2800 personnel of Canadian forces are presently deployed in Afghanistan. Canada plans to evacuate their forces from afghanistan from jul 11. for the purpose Canada signed an agreement with UAE to use its base near dubai. UAE abruptly canceled the agreement, after an escalating diplomatic row over Aviation rights. So canada looking for alternate base, possible in Pakistan and that is Karachi.

good for pakistan, in revenue point of view.....
