Some people will always choose easy money even if they had to sell their body. If goverment won't control it than this will be done by illegal means which will be worse for both women and costumers. In goverment control, the chances of getting STDs, women abuse and costumer abuse will be less if not none.

Drugs and prostution will never stop but if goverments allow enough to stop the illegal part than things will get better for everyone.

I think Police should be looking for real crime like robbery, murder and fraud rather than these frivolous crimes between consenting parties. If anything such activities should be legalized so they can be regulated in the interest of public health. Get the prostitutes take blood tests and use protection to prevent desease.

yes what you are saying is right but the question is, is it feasible? , due to the entrenched system of disparity in all strata of society, people are forced to choose a path to derive sustainability which might not be considered appropriate by the parameters of social norms, however because of the chronic nature of rampant inequality we see all around us some people are forced to choose this path reason can vary from financial security to the human natures of needs as well (after all it takes two to tango) so as long as the economic situation along with the nature of opportunity (of the subject) is largely favorable to the haves, the have nots in many situations have no other way to turn but to enter the world's oldest profession either as seller's or as clients , after all its not the oldest profession just like that, its been there for a reason believe it or not but beneath the curtain of civilizations,cultures & throughout the evolving societies of mankind a balance of conscience have taken place since ages in which prostitution is deemed as a necessity evil for the sustainability of certain section of the society.

another reason that i think legalization would be good, is because currently, in countries where it is illegal, the elite police, military, bankers, politicians and media still get to use it and indeed, abuse it, and there's no oversight.
