I am thinking about this from sometime now that is it possible to convert Existing Metro bus routes like Lahore/Multan metro bus Service into a metro train or Tram which can accommodate more people and can run on electricity instead of relying on petroleum products

useless project and waist of money. metro in pakistan is mostly used for leisure and low income population that does not contribute in the growth of the economy.

I disagree, its not waste of money if it benefits people with better movement and accessibility while reducing congestion on roads, i have travelled in both islamabad and Lahore metros and i found it to be useful for someone having no private vehicle, Taxis and Rikshaws are expensive for middle class. While living in Germany i have noticed the imp of Public transport, with most of the cities connected with Strassebahn and Ubahn (Tram) it is easier to travel within city with public transport than your own car

so its not a waste of money, its something our big cities really need to control Bikes and Rikshaws

Trains are the True Systems to move big cities and help countries in progress.
Following uncle sams foot step many country developed road network why keeping Rails on the sword.
With Bigger cities Metro Can move much more number of people quickly, cheaply than any other systems which are the need for working class.

Connecting your cities through with Rapid , Cheaper and Decent train system help in progress and development of cities as people can get to work which is not possible or affordable with bus or planes.

Carrier Trains can be powered by renewable energy, that can lower your petrol chemical import.
Help in lower traffic , lower pollution & save money.

Biggest issue with Pakistan is majority of its population is too dependent on few major cities which is causing alot of problem with that people can commute to bigger or smaller cities daily for work by this.
