Well some would see homosexual pride marches through the centres of cities as a way of imposing/promoting their lifestyle on others especially the youth.

they demonstrate for equal rights of same gender couples... they dont promoting their lifestyle... yes they do it colorfull and provocant BUT always peacefull.... nothing compared to a turkish demonstration in Germany which ALWAYS end in trouble...

pride march is to show that they are equal to others.. I hope one day it will stop and being gay will not raise any eyebrows.. even in Uk gays are not easily accepted as equal however they are better off than ethnic minorities of any sexual orientation(blacks and browns).

Not sure why, you as Indian is talking about western society and completely ignoring India. I also have nothing against gay people,they are just a small minority,and what happens in the private sphere is non of our business. However as you say,I don't like when it's shoved in our faces. I'll take as exemple the gay pride. Yes,it is a peaceful event,but it's too provocative.... especially in the public space.
