Missile is not yet operational , but i am sure they cant intercept Babur LACM if a few TELs get stolen and end up in Turkey somehow.

Yes, I wonder too. Let´s hope so, NATO should be prevented from attacking yet another sovereign state that hasn´t attacked any other country. This is madness and unfortunately most people are supporting the wrongs side, as they also did when Iraq and Afghanistan were attacked.

No i dont thinks so. You need specialized AA systems such as the Israeli Iron dome to really make a difference.

I hope there wont be war between Turkey and Syria. That is the first thing I want to say.

SOM is a small, fast and low altitude flying object. :D
It is hard to track and hit those kind of things.

Turkey's doing well economically - if this supposed war with Syria happens will Turkey's economy take a hit?

All the subsonic cruise missiles share the same principles: they are easy to intercept due to their low speed and simple trajectory, but very hard to detect from the ground in the first place due to their low altitude of flight and terrain hugging abilities. Unless SOM missiles are aimed straight on some functioning Syrian radars with some ready to fire AA guns or missiles nearby, I can't see Syria, without any AEW capabilities, detecting any of them until it is too late.

Syria was apparently unable to detect, moreover to intercept, incoming Israeli aircraft so many times...

Maybe, but we have a lot of good stuf for them to taste. HARM, Harpy, and our F16 with the latest EW pods. Besides that we have a lot of EW weapons in our inventory. If you saw what the Israeli airforce did with them what would we do?

To detect cruise misseles you have to let the radar systems work with full capabality. Wich means your enemy will see you from distance:-), so the russian air defence is not big point for our cruise missiles. We have more cruise missiles in our inventory so.

The the whole indoctrination changed in the air.

Bro, Israel is seriously advanced at EW technologies. They have a vast of experience and technology in their hands. What we projected as Air-SOJ and SGINT crafts have already been developed by Israeli institutes. They are using their electronic counter measure systems on their F-16I. Boeing is also working with Israel on many projects. Our Peace Eagle AEW&C crafts have Israeli EW sensor and jammers. Aselsan developed impressive technologies about this sector and It is time to integrate those to bigger platforms like Israel did. We have completed Land-SOJ, Heli-EW and aircraft sensor/jammer projects sucesfully and waiting for Air-SOJ like similar projects which is the backbone of aerial jamming operations...

Stand-off missiles are actually designed to attack highly protected strategic places/systems including SAM locations from longer ranges. Their key advantages are terran referenced navigation systems on low flights which make it difficult to detect until the point of no return. It is the reason they have winglets and similar flight characteristics like aircrafts. If It is commanded by an advanced long range data-link system like Kement providing to control each flight process of missiles until the final point, It became an unrivalled lethal weapon system which is a serious headache to all type of moving/stable threats.

Cruise missiles are very hard to detect given there terrain hugging capabilities...check out our ALCM RAAD similar to SOM.
