Can Anyone Challenge United States Air Force?

americans might have the best Air force ,
but they are zero in ground battles or guriella warfare... :yahoo:

And you base this claim on what?

The Thunder Run through baghdad where the US ran a brigade straight through the capitol of the enemy taunting them to stand and fight?

The success of the surge and the defeat of Al Queda in Iraq?

Or perhaps the based on how US troops fought tier way in to Marjah despite the Taliban's best efforts.

Perhaps as a comparison you'll use the Pakistani Army in SWAT, Russia in Grozny?

Perhaps for honesty's sake your basing your claim on the fact that since 1950 no company sized or larger US force has surrendered to the enemy.

You would do well to remember that the soldiers and marines in Iraq and Afghanistan have taken everything the jihadis could throw at them and are not only still standing, but are taking things from the enemy who is powerless to stop their advance.

The troops that took Marjah are the great-great grandheirs of the Lost battalion, the great grandheirs of the marines that stormed the pacific from Guadalcanal to Inchon. The heirs of the men who never lost a battle to the VC and general Giap who forced the French Foreign legion to surrender. They are the kid brothers to the force that stormed Iraq after staring down the worlds largest army and threat of nuclear holocaust for decades without flinching.

Before making snide comments about the quality of American troops you should perhaps look at what they have accomplished and then compare those achievements to those you would hold up as the standard.

so... you're proud of beating a tiny middle eastern oil dictatorship, illiterate tribesmen and a chinese/soviet proxy? what happened after inchon? "yalu by christmas!" but really it was "run back to the 38th". you beat the weak north koreans, congratulations. then what? used the south koreans as cannon fodder and let your general die? in every US war since Vietnam, the war was over before a single american boot set foot on the ground thanks to the US Air Force and Navy.

in terms of the quality of infantry and ground forces, US soldiers are not at the standards of Germany, Russia and China. Russian soldiers clear land mines by running over them and don't give a second thought, do US soldiers have that will? German soldiers will eat rats and fight in subfreezing temperatures without even coats, can a US soldier survive that? Chinese soldiers march 70 kilometers per night and remain absolutely motionless at day to achieve strategic surprise, can US troops leave their humvees for a few hours? In every evenly matched ground war, such as Korea, US soldiers have shown that they simply depend on the air force.

Without the US Air Force, the ground force is actually pretty weak and probably not even a match for Vietnam.

Those are intense soliders below freezing ...lol

I will take my mouse bbq , diping sauce please :cheesy: with the lizard tail suprise as appetizer

:rofl::rofl: the bolded part was so good mate specially the russians running over mines to clear them and Chinese soldiers remain motionless all day..BTW which fanboy stuff are you reading?? :pop:

you guys remind me xbox games sending whole air force lol

US air force has such quantitative and qualitative edge today that it will take a serious technological breakthrough for another country to match up to USAF.

Otherwise something like 'Day after tomorrow' (movie) has to happen, where all of north america freezes over!

they are under attack here and lose this war.

Pushed the Chinese out of Seoul and kept South Korea free depsite China and the Soviet's best efforts. BTW Walker died in a car crash and his death saved the UN force, he was obviously out of his element. A decent general and the Chinese would have been crushed earlier. However in the hand to hand battles that raged after the US got a decent commander they proved themselves as tough as the Chinese.

which leaves them with less combat power when face to face with the enemy. never mind that its not true. Soviet losses were so bad they stopped wave attacks and resorted to massive WWI style bombardments.

do US soldiers have that will? German soldiers will eat rats and fight in subfreezing temperatures without even coats, can a US soldier survive that?

How well did those *** eaters do in the end? How well did the Germans do in tryign to force out a bunch of light infantry from a little town called Bastonge, or in breaking the defense of Mortain?

Chinese soldiers march 70 kilometers per night and remain absolutely motionless at day to achieve strategic surprise, can US troops leave their humvees for a few hours?

Sure they did...... But even if they did, South Korea ain't communist today is it. So you tell me how well did that work out?

Without the US Air Force, the ground force is actually pretty weak and probably not even a match for Vietnam.

Bahahaha

Every super power in the past had some thing or weapon better then rest of the world. so what if us has its air force no^1. Remember ussr's huge military build up was also one of the factor in its breakup.:coffee:

The one biggest challenger of USAF is the Obama administration and the democratic congress. They are ensuring that US will be on par with that of China and Russia in 10 years.

I do remember beating up smaller countries then taking them over was how the Soviet empire came to be.

Does historical facts even matter %1 with these guys in this type of discussion? We both have done time in uniform, they have not, so what else do they have but empty rhetoric?

Obama administration is trying to fix toilet economy.
