C17 white tails: A reality or A distant dream ?

Why US declined sale of Chinooks?? Those were transport helicopters.
US did not decline. They are too expensive for Pakistan to afford. We were looking for used ones to refurbish but all of the Air forces flying them want to hold on to them.

I think PAF would be rather more interested in getting another 7-11 IL-76 and upgrading the whole fleet with latest avionics.

russians will not permit you to change the avionics on the il-76 unless you pay them

They are useful when it comes to disaster relief, and emergency evacuations, as seen in Nepal and Yemen.

But Given PAF budget I would recommend getting 6 C130Js for 1 Billion USD

They will prove handy should their be another quake or flood

i thought paf already operated c-130s

@Topic, it is nothing but a wild fantasy for Pakistan to operate such behemoths. Look at the current nations who operate them, they are either incredibly wealthy (UAE) or legitimate military powers with the need to have strategic air mobility (US, UK, Canada, India etc)- Pakistan is neither. It is like Belgium buying such a/c, that would be as absurd as Pakistan doing so.

Pakistan simply doesn't require them, nor can it afford them. Pakistan should somehow build up its tactical airlift capabilities (C-130s and the like).

The older C-130Hs, not the latest spec Js.
