Fair enough, every great nation will step on some others feet on their way to greatness. it's a natural human feeling to hate someone who is much better than you.

I dont see China as better as us and USA neither. 99% of Chinese have not even 20% of our living standard, no freedom of speech and are treated like insects by a dictatorship.

In USA the big majority also has a far lower living standard than in Greece, no functional healthcare system. People die because they cant afford to pay the hospital. USA infrastructure is crumbling apart, USA has highest child mortality in the developed world and the intellectual level of large parts of the people is abyssmal.

Im glad that i live in a country and on a continent with highest living standards in the world, with perfect healthcare, infrastructure, human rights, freedom and amazing culture. That is what generates greatness.

Look, the thing is, when i look at myself and then look at China, i see that i could never live there. I find it horrible because im fiercly independend thinking.

In US you have freedom of speech but i would not want to live there either, because most US states are simply shitholes, like Kentucky or Alabama and a moron like Trump can become president there.

In the end i think the problem is have is, that chinese culture is completly alien to us. Greece and China have both thousands of years history but almost nothing in common. Our art, philosophy and way of thinking is very different. So this may also seem to shape how i think about it.

What you dont understand is, that there are no "catalans". Its a small movement that did terror attacks and used state money for illegal activities. You should also be careful what you write since the chinese regime official condemed those catalans and sided 100% with Spain.
