By God, Imran Khan is a ‘fraud’, says PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a press conference on Thursday, fired broadsides at PTI chief Imran Khan calling him a “fraudster” and the “biggest liar in Pakistan’s history”.

The premier was flanked by federal ministers Marriyum Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, and Ahsan Iqbal.

At the outset of the press conference, PM Shehbaz recalled the events of April 3, 2022 — the day the no-confidence motion was submitted against then-prime minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly (NA).

“I just want to tell you what happened that day. Before the voting [of the no-trust vote], the information minister at that time (Fawad Chaudhry) stood up and read a statement saying that a conspiracy was devised against the government […] its links were with a foreign power and the opposition has brought this motion.

“Subsequently, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri read a written statement in which he rejected the no-confidence motion on the basis of the conspiracy story […] without asking us,” Shehbaz said.

Within no time, he went on, Imran Khan came on television and announced the dissolution of NA. “Twenty minutes later, the president approved the summary.”

This was the basis of the conspiracy that Imran has been playing along with for the past five months and wasting the nation’s time, PM Shehbaz said. “Due to this game, Pakistan’s relations with the biggest powers of the world have been compromised.”

He recalled that “baseless allegations” were leveled at several government leaders during this time. “You can say whatever you want, but calling someone a traitor […] there is no bigger conspiracy than it.

“On the floor of the NA, I said that if God forbid this conspiracy was proved against me or the coalition, then the nation has the right to hang me.”

But today, Shehbaz contended that links of the so-called conspiracy were connected to Imran and there was solid evidence of it.

Imran’s ‘true face’

Referring to the recently-surfaced audio recordings purportedly featuring Imran and his former federal ministers, the prime minister said that the leaks had revealed Imran’s truth but also clarified that the government had nothing to do with them.

“He can be heard saying that this is a game […] they can be heard saying that minutes of the meeting should be made according to their wish.

“The nation’s trust was played with. The country’s honor was sabotaged in such a manner that no such example is found in history […] this is nothing less than treason,” Shehbaz said, claiming that Imran played a “serious game with the country”.

“Tell me, is there any doubt after this that who was behind the conspiracy?”

The prime minister said that he was “here today to sensitise the nation” against the “biggest liar in the country”, alleging that Imran could sacrifice the country for his personal benefits.

Shehbaz said that two days after the PMO audio leaks, an ambassador from a friendly country came to meet him at the Prime Minister’s Office. “I had some discussion with him after which he highlighted that now no one would feel safe talking at the PMO.”

This, he continued, was not just a huge loss for the government but a loss that the nation would have to bear for decades to come.

The premier said that the PTI chief and his supporters were trying to turn Pakistan’s donors against the government via social media tactics.

“I’m finally saying this today that the entire opposition has been vindicated by God. And Imran Khan — who lies day and night — is a fraudster […] he had isolated the nation and played with it. He attacked the army and tried to create divisions.”

Shehbaz added that the government wanted to keep Imran’s “true face” in front of the nation. “The decision will be taken by you through the vote.”

‘Cipher can’t be decoded’

In response to a question, the premier said that the cipher —which former prime minister Imran Khan claims contains details of a foreign conspiracy to oust him from power — can’t be decoded by the government.

“If it is, then all the cables from all embassies can be leaked or stolen,” he reasoned.

Shehbaz reiterated that the prime minister’s copy of the cipher, also referred to as the master copy, had been missing. “Imran himself doesn’t know where it is.

“But his audio leaks have proven that there were four people behind the so-called conspiracy. What other evidence do you need,” he demanded.

The PM also revealed that the cabinet had decided to probe the audio leaks, adding that an investigation into them had already begun. “We will tell the nation [the findings] with complete transparency.”

look who is talking....

The reality is that they are ALL the SAME. All pawns. All selfish. All liars. ALL of them.

really..

please tell us Imran's biggest lie

Har speech mai qasam khata hai, 1 dheelay ki corruption nahi ki

Boot polish kar kar ke laanti wali shakal ho gai hai iski.

only if he says so. PTI came to power in 2018 and they are responsible for the whole mess while this family which OP is determined to prove are the warriors of truth has no impact on this mess whatsoever.
Who kept Dollar around 100 and how it impacted our economy?
Who on different occasions said that he/she doesn't know who owns Avenfield appts.?
Who once said I will bring all the looted money of Zardari and drag him across the roads of LAHORE and then join hands with him?
Who once said his legs were shivering and the man was sweating like crazy?
Who invented the Calibri font?
The list is very long. It is nice to have opinions but one should be man enough to see through all the lies being told to them otherwise he is as a fool as *** dragging the cart.

Can you break down the years!

Were you born yesterday?

Can you name at least a few scandals!

REALLY? You can't even think of ONE scandal?

I don't get it. What do you even get out of simping for sharifs? With IK I can understand since he claims he will bring change to the system (which everyone agrees is rotten), he improved the economy a little, started a world class charity, initiated welfare efforts and started reforms in certain areas.

But what is YOUR excuse? PMLN doesn't want to change the system. PMLN is not competent & made a mess out of the economy. They're haven't reformed or improved anything while in office. They're corrupt. They haven't done anything for the poor. They act like tyrants. They don't even follow basic Islamic tenets.

So what about them exactly is so appealing to you? Are you impressed by their flashiness & wealth? Do you get any monetary/financial benefits? Are they holding your loved ones hostage? Is it just b/c they're from Punjab?

If one cannot see through IK's lies by now, then it is only because one simply has decided not to do so, and is therefore beyond any rational help.

Exactly... But I still think out of the stick ... Imran Khan stinks the least....

That may be true, but it does nothing for Pakistan and its people. Absolutely nothing.

Lol... Of course!... Pakistan is a basket case and pretty much finished ... It's people are enslaved and their future is dim. Those who can should get out... It's a sinking ship.

Imran Khan will never be back in power .... Even he can't do anything really. It's game over. Imran Khan will be killed off. The last few breaths the state is breathing and the life will be squeezed out of Pakistan.... Most of the elite already have established their egg nests in the West... So they can retire easily with their childrens future secure .. including the generals.

Yes, things may be bad, but they are far from finished. The system will likely continue for the foreseeable future, including after the next round of elections and musical chairs. We shall soon be able to see what happens.

There is no system. That's the entire point!

@FOOLS_NIGHTMARE
You must've gotten a hard on by just reading the headline.

So, PM Cherry Blossom calls IK a 'Fraud' & we're all supposed to set his words in stone...

Care to take a poll and ask the common man on the streets of Pakistan. Lug-Pata jaey ga.

To this hack, IK is a fraud & his absconder brother is a Saint.

Yeah, you & your type (Noon`ies) should keep fishing.
