Hello,

I've opened this thread to get some idea from the people who live in Turkey or our Turkish brothers to tell something about the business opportunities in Turkey for foreigners. What is the best business you can start?

Thanks.

What do you have in mind?

What opportunities are there? Are we free to do any business? Which sector is at its peak? Or which sector has a future?
I am interested in real estate or construction may be.

Would really appreciate your guideline.

Well, construction would be great choice for real but I am not sure what your chances would be, Turkey is already worldwide giant in construction. I would sincerely offer tourism.

Keep your hands from those two, upcoming bubble that's going to burst. Not just my opinion but that of many analysts.
I'm waiting for it so I can finally buy a beach house.

E-commerce, renewables I'd suggest. But that depends on how much money you want to invest.
I believe there are many more opportunities in Pakistan but there's simply no investment climate.

Or sell shit in Iran now that the sanctions are gone.

So in your opinion, Real estate prices are going to drop in near future?

What about studying in Istanbul? Is it safe to go there & study? One of my cousin is intending to go there. I've heard that ISIS is recruiting young people from Turkey for Syria.

Turkey is as safe as one can be, just dont go to the Syria/Iraq border or dont try to be openly gay in Konya.
Just behave like a sane human being and you'll be fine. If you dont you better be Irish and know how to fight.

As for studying, Istanbul is a great city with a lot of good universities. The private ones are a big expensive but really good.

The IRISH MAN IN ISTANBUL is an ethnic Arab and no boxer. He is an IT expert. Unfortunately now in hospital cause of head-and arm fractures. Now a campaign began " Water for Irish Man is free of charge " ! But I would be careful and avoid risk. In Beyoglu a SAT Captain was killed by a group of drug addicted kurds who stiched a knife in his hernies, when he fighted the group.
