Burhan Wani death: 'Azaadi' slogans for Kashmir and Manipur raised in Kolkata

Azaadi slogans were raised at a rally, organised in Kolkata to protest the ongoing unrest in Kashmir.


Azaadislogans were raised at a rally, organised in Kolkata to protest against the death of over 30 people in Kashmir following the death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani. Left-backed organisations comprising students and other members of rights groups converged at the College Square and marched towards the Sealdah station, sporting placards which read, ‘de-militarise Kashmir’ and raised slogans like, ‘Kashmir maange azaadi, Manipur maange azaadi’.


“We are demanding azaadi for Kashmir and Manipur. Azaadi for us means withdrawal of army and AFSPA. The people are oppressed by the army and it has resulted in so many deaths. It’s high time that these two states should be freed from armed forces and AFSPA,” said Mrinmoy Sarkar from the Progressive Democratic Students' Federation (PDSF) organisation.

Sarkar alleged that ever since the rally was announced, they received a number of threats from right-wing organisations. “There was every attempt to silence us. A lot of people who were to participate in this rally were threatened. But, we can’t be silent anymore. Everyday, the death toll and number of injured is rising in Kashmir. We must stand united for the people of Kashmir.”

This protest rally comes in the wake of simultaneous protests being organised by the several groups across the country. On Wednesday, similar rally was organised at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.

Please state three things that Hindus are allowed to do but Muslims aren't, according to Indian law.

Either you are a false named or a rarely lucky one or some one who has not lived in India for ages.

1) Muslims are not allowed to eat beef why? Same Hindus when they are out of India are eating beef themselves I have seen with my own eyes but in India they kill and beat Muslims for the same.
2) Why have not we seen even a single Muslim indian army chief though muslims are 15 % and Sikhs only 1 % we have seen plenty Sikhs . Muslims overall are not given army jobs though owing to their healthy diets and educated background they are always better than Hindus and Sikhs.
You may say there was aMuslim president but thats not a power post as you know what I mean.
3) Muslims are not even allowed to buy property at their place of choice in Sickular india.

Because India is suppose to be a "Secular Country" by definition set by your elders many decades ago.

India isn't secular because its supposed to be.. India is secular because Indian constitution makes it secular. And the same Indian constitution also gives Indian Armed Forces the right to take violent measures against such elements who take up guns against the Indian Union and kill/threaten to kill Indian citizens. This means that killing Burhan Wani is in line with Indian constitution and therefore it doesn't convert India into a “Hinducracy" as your compatriot claimed.

Let me tell you a little secret. Indian constitution doesn't allow secession, whether the dude wanting to secede is Hindu, Christian, Muslim or Atheist. If tomorrow, “Hindu Bihar" rose in rebellion against the Indian Union, then I promise you my fellow Biharis would face the wrath of Indian Army too. From the Indian POV, Its all about territorial integrity, not religion. Am I clear enough to you now?
