Pakistani heritage, indian heritage, we have had nearly 50 threads on this matter... Indian members claim everything is indian , and there is no pakistani history... pakistani members claim their heritage is completely seperate from india's and there is no link between the two.... Indians argue budhist and hindu origins of heritage claimed by pakistan , one thing we have consistently failed to understand is, that we are trying to claim the history of nearly 3000 years based on the lines drawn merely 70 years ago... Future generations will look back at us and laugh for our stupidity.....


IMHO, the history of the subcontinent belongs to the subcontinent. History of millennial grandeur cannot be subjugated by puny lines drawn 70 years ago. it's not fair to the people or to the history of the land.

Completly agreed, history belong to people of that region. I know mullahs in Pakistan loves to pretend our history started by invader Bin Qasim and we all are sons of arabs, persians and many others who invaded before. But the fact confirmed by DNA results is that Pakistan gene pool hasnt changed in 7000-14000 years and we always has been here. Just like rest of the people in India.

we indians have inferiority complex of the highest order.....unmatched and undisputed in nature and we are known all over the world for it.......isnt it surprising that we indians dont have anything to be proud of from our own towns and villages......an indian wont be proud of anything that came or flourished in new delhi or mumbai or tamil nadu or kerala.....but his inferiority complex will take him to a Pakistani forum where here he will claim something that flourished and came from Pakistani town or city.......this is us indians and we are like this so take it easy....its in our nature and blood....1000 years of slavery has changed us mentally.......
...this is the reason that no sikh will ever call him an indian in west.....he will always identify himself as a punjabi.........

Yep thats what i also dont understand. Indian subcontinent has always been devided in small kingdoms. Thats why people of Pakistani punjab and Indian punjab have much much more in common then South Indians will ever have. But lets pretend its always has been one united land and all history belong to hindus doesnt matter if he lives in tamil nadu.

The evidence is easy, look at the Hindu invaders from India to Pakistan. Before them we were Buddhists and then once Hindu invaders came, over night we were Hindus with no Buddhists left. The only way to have 100% conversion rate in a short period of time is forced conversion. Muslims ruled India for 800 years and they only managed to convert 15% of the population, thus proving no forced conversion, but in case of Pakistan, we had no more Buddhists in less then 100 years of Hindu invasion.

What a load of crap, Budhisum originated from Hinduism, Gowthama Budha was a born Hindu who found enlitenment and self realization and showed the path to God in his own ways thus creating Budhism. What Historical evidance do you have that the Hindus came to the west of current Indian borders to force convert Budhist.

There is some thing called as facts and stik to it my buddy. This thread is about the history of your land that once was our(you and me) land. Just enjoy it rather than to bring in Hinduism which has no relevance to this topic and to the fact you do not have any evidance of Hindus force converting any other religion.

PAKISTAN is a name of the region...according to Ch Rehmat Ali it is Punjab, Afghania (former name of KPK province), Kashmir, Sindh, baluchisTAN

Since the times of Indus Valley Civilization and Gandhara civilizations, this region (including Indian Punjab and Kashmir) was seperate from today's India other than under the rule of Ashoka and another empire...if u calculate its a few hundred years in the last 7000-8000 years that Pakistan's region was in the same empire as whole of India...it was not until the muslims came and joined this seperate region with today's india and after a 1000 or so years it got seperated in 1947 but this time Punjab and Kashmir were divided !!!

NOTE: Most of the ancestors of Pakistanis are Aryans (invaders from Central Asia)...mixed with blood of invaders...while people in Indian Punjab and Kashmir are of Aryan blood too...the rest are mostly dravidian (descendants of ancient African hunting tribes) (some muhajirs in south of Pakistan might be of the same lineage)..people of Pakistan might find something in common with Indian Kashmir and Punjab...how the hell rest of these Indians here claim any affiliation with us....its most probably cuz many indian members here are too ashamed of their Dravidian roots !!!

why must you guys turn everything into a fight can't you just appreciate the history ? every country has history the land and people were always there some countries simply did not exist as a political entity at the time and changed religions over the years but the history will always be there.Whether they were Buddhist first and Hindu later it's shouldn't matter because the fact is both religions (whether some of you admit it or not) were still a major part of the history of what became pakistan so just learn to respect it.

This is the problem. With American connivance and encouragement in the eighties the Saudis built mosques and Madrassas in Pakistan and throughout the world. The Saudis encouraged Waahbism. The Taliban were taught to be anti Shia so as to extend the rule of House of Al Saud and also to assist Americans fight the Russians. So a phenomenon a Frankenstein created by the west to propagate their interests in the world today is used as an example of what Muslims are about by the likes of you.

Let me remind you that religous parties in Pakistan have never got more than 2 or 3 % of the vote. In India the religous party the BJP as right wing racist party who advocates Hindutva has in the past not only had signoficant elected representatives but has been the ruling party.

Incredible how an Indian attempts to tell us about our religion and culture. Please dont tell us what we are and arent a follower off.

it is sad that such a beautiful thread with pictures of majestic history have been torn apart by the usual trolling and raving about who owns what and how WE PAKISTANIS have no right to claim and be proud of these ancient civilizations because they belonged to people who followed the Budhist or Hindu faith etc.

these same people will on the other hand gladly showcase the Mughal architecture in India as theirs although by their earlier example it should be a Muslim only pride.

it is pointless to argue if these ancient people had anything in common with people of India. they were as much similar as much the Indian Punjab are with the people of Tamil Nadu. India is not called a sub continent without a reason. Even In Pakistan we have same phenomenon

do not dare ever to use word aryan for invaders..the word arya itself means noble and does not refer to any cast or tribe...so calling any invader as aryan is big mistake...if you have no knowledge of sanskrit words then go and learn it before using these words...
