BSF shoots tangled teenager

1. Obvious reasons? Did you know: Talking about an issue without researching much about it makes you look like a clown.

We were opposing construction of any structure within 150 yards of the international border. Recently AL agreed to let india break the rules and build the fence.

The fence is being built and it's being built 140 m inside Indian territory. I hope they complete it soon.

2. It was the other way around. Felani tried to get into BD from india. BDR had no control over it. She could just be a WB girl crossing into BD to marry some handsome guy.

Then stop crying for her and stop raising the issue in bilateral discussion.

And this other teenager was just taking bath when BSF kidnapped him. Taking bath is taken as an act of terrorism by mentally challeneged people.

How do you know? Do we have the official version of BSF or BDR? He could have crossed the maritime border and thus arrested.

On top of everything bar any Bangladeshi who even aproaches even withn half a mile of the border.

My 2 cents.

What? This is our land and we are free to roam within anywhere in our own land.

The area of Khulna Division is 22,274 sq. km.

And Bangladesh shares 2979 km land-border with India.

And your proposed bar on access 0.5 mile = 0.8 km

So if we bar our people to access within half a mile of areas along the whole land-border with India, then we will have to lose our sovereignty and freedom of access to the cumulative area of 2383.2 sq. km (leanth of land border 2979 km x 0.8 km proposed by you) which is bigger than the whole Khulna Division (22,274 sq. km).

What a shocking and submissive idea of you!

Now do not say that we should bar on access in few selective areas, not along the whole border.

Clown or not mate, I knew the reason behind it, thought every one else would too :P. I know a lot more about Bangladesh than you think, I have been there thrice.

And as for opposing the "fence"ing, it was because of the enclaves both India and Bangladesh held in each others territory. In the recently held secretary level meeting it was jointly declared by India and Bangladesh, that the enclaves will be exchanged and this issue will be history in a matter of couple of months.

So can't stop you from complaining, complain your hearts out for all i care, similarly you can't stop us from constructing the fence and we 'll construct our hearts out:lol:

As for the rest of your post Abir has already replied to it, so i cant be asked wasting my time. Now just lets give this thread a rest.

Um how exactly is 2383.2 sq.km bigger than 22274 sq.km?

Actually India is constructing the fence 140 m inside its own territory so you are gaining more land. And the total length of the border fence is going to be 3406 Km. So there you go 3406*0.14 km = 510 sq.km of free land.

You know $hit.. We agreed to the formula in 1974 and even handed over some of our land to India but you came back after 36 years only to nagging about it..

Bangladesh wants fencing and it should outside 150 yards of zero line. We dont have a fencing program but India do come back with hundreds of complain even when we want to do some civil construction work within our 150 yards.

those 510 sq km still be Indian land. We dont have anything to do with it.

uppppppppppssssssss I was excited. I did not see the decimal sign in 2383.2, lol. But still this is bad idea and the Dhaka city has area of 304 km2. So still 2383.2 sq. km is seven times bigger (2383.2/304= 7.8) area than Dhaka city..

No need to get personal, and if you think we are nagging then you shouldn't have issues with the border fence, cause once thats built we wont have anything to nag about right? good riddance for you guys?

Also 1 yard =0.9144 m

India is building the fence 140 m inside its own border
so 140m = 153.10 yards

Still not happy?

No, not exactly. BD is not gaining a single inch of land. India builds its fence 140m inside the international boundary as per international rule. But, India certainly owns this 140m wide land.

Isn't it meant to be no mans land? According to the bilateral treaty between India and Bangladesh no construction is allowed within 140 m on either side of international boundary. Yes India will still own the land, but basically both the countries will be forfeiting same amount of land mass. Correct me if i am wrong.

And I only said Bangladesh will be gaining land as per his logic, cause he was suggesting that Bangladesh will be loosing land due to fencing.

@ So, at last India has appolize for the inccident and suspended 2 x BSF members.

@ Thanks to the Govt of Bangladesh.
