Sabed Ali was working in his own maize field when he was picked up by trespassing BSF members, locals claim

India’s Border Security Force (BSF) has returned a Bangladeshi farmer to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) four hours after detaining him from this side of the border in Lalmonirhat.

Farmer Sabed Ali, 50, is a resident of Mogolhaat village under Sadar upazila of the district.

Locals and BGB sources claimed that BSF members had trespassed into the Bangladesh side and picked up Sabed when he was working in his own maize field around 7:45am on Saturday.

He was returned to the BGB in a flag meeting after four hours, around 12pm, BGB’s 15th Battalion Commander Lt Col Golam Morshed said.

Umm actually that treatment should be equal treatment , as it is teeth for teeth ,head for head.
But I doubt Bangladesh will do this atm.
Propaganda of R&AW is malicious in Bangladesh .
So if current government or any government will take such step then it will back fire on us ,if by any chance India declare war on us with any reason , bd economy is not so stable for it.
I think government ( it is backed up by military as far I know) took a position to be compromised for now.

Exactly a nation of 1.3 billion peoples meaning 1/6 of world population.

Lol! Yeah, smugglers should be shot dead. It's not savagery to think that way. Smuggled cattle are usually the stolen one's. Sometimes these cows will be the only livestock of poor families. If you want to legally buy cattle, you need to register, if you are a foreign national (not sure you can export them like walking through border). And these smugglers later go high up in ranks and go for something that gives a better return, say drugs, fake bank notes, or even help terrorist to infiltrate, provided it's safe to pass from BD to India unnoticed.

You can skin BSF in your dreams. Afterall there are no limits to one's dreams. But, these actions will make sure or at least give some chills for those smugglers/illegals from daring another adventure like this.

They will be returned without much trouble. You can convey your disagreements/discomfort through diplomatic channels. India will reply with the usual sugarcoated reply of we will take care not to follow such mistakes and advice para mil not to take such missions.

As a note. The corrupt BD officials who cover them smugglers should be punished. Why not? It's a cartel you are running, with BD border guards in the loop, and the BSF officials who crossed to BD probably might have been following those smugglers.
