Limitless, a Singapore-based tech company, uploaded an album entitled Broken India, which depicts a stark difference between an Instagram photo and the rest of the picture.

The Limitless team told BuzzFeed India that the photo series was done in order to highlight how India is a country of contrasts.

“While we have 5-star hotels on one side, we have slums on the other. While children are seen as the future of the country, they’re also forced into child labour.”

“While there has been both positive and negative response, we feel that we have achieved what we wanted, sending out a message to the audience indicating the state of affairs of the country.”

The team explained that since the use of “beautiful India” was played out, they decided to use entitle the project “Broken India”.

“By bringing Broken India to light, we really wanted to strike a raw nerve, because only when people realise the state of affairs and break out of their comfort zones, is when they can start to make a difference.”

Useless bastrds...trying to cash in on the poverty of India..
We are well aware of what is happening around us and there is no need for these sons of bitches to highlight them...

To be fair to India, same is the picture all over SA. However, only India is chest-thumping proclaiming supaaaa powerrrr status.
Because India is making more progress than anybody else, has high aims and, at this moment a significant military power, which is only increasing.

For example, India's military budget only is more than the entire federal budget of Pakistan.

@ranjeet i don't like such kind of threads which are only mocking miseries of common man.
Well, one needs to introspect and accept the harsh realities. Nothing wrong with such threats but trolling over miseries of common man is a no no.

But you know here it's only trolling.

Lets say 50% of people in India are poor. 40% middle class & 10% rich. Still India will have 100 million rich people & 500 million middle class along with 600 million poor. 600 million rich & middle class people are more than enough to make India a super power. As India become richer percentage of poor population will reduce.

People need to understand that India is a democratic country where protest of mere ten people can halt the will of the other ninety.
