American policymakers have really messed up, for past several decades they have been pushing anti-Muslim rhetoric in politics, especially in right wing or republican party. Also among Christian-Zionist movements. The motive was to enable Israel's occupation and enable oppressive regimes in the region. As well as many local benefits for Republican party. So it's no surprise it has developed into severe hatred of Muslims/Islam. Jewish community in America is stupid and think they can manage it to make sure it remains a united 'Zionist-Christian' hatred of Muslims that is necessary to the Jews for securing their interests in the Middle East. It may be that way now but it is slowly morphing into anti-Jewish hatred as well. It most certainly will.

As those conservatives feel disfranchised. Those people playing this game thinking it's okay to manage such a narrative against Muslims are directly responsible for what kind of beliefs and behaviors we will see in the future among Americans. And it will not hurt Muslims rather greatly benefit them. It will only hurt America and cause domestic strife. Jewish Americans will be the boogeyman in the future.

Is there a rule that a terrorist is driven by religious motive only? No matter what his motive was the bottom line is he meant to terrorize people and he has succeeded in that. I understand that it is very inconvenient for those who preach day and night that all terrorists are Muslims.

Off topic but... you have my full sympathy and so do by the majority of human beings. You Palestinians are the victims of a slow ethnic cleansing and a quick, brutal Apartheid. But the views you express in this post here are off the mark: Yes, the thinking Americans have realized how a foreign country has managed to blackmail most American lawmakers into working against American interests. But--Israel will have what it wanted: Gobbling up almost all good land of the West Bank, gobbling up the Golan Heights. And probably gobbling up a chunk of south part of Lebanon and even some of Sinai Peninsula.

The tide may turn in America but it will be too late for you Palestinians and for millions more in that region.

But--Israel will have what it wanted: Gobbling up almost all good land of the West Bank, gobbling up the Golan Heights. And probably gobbling up a chunk of south part of Lebanon and even some of Sinai Peninsula.

The tide may turn in America but it will be too late for you Palestinians and for millions more in that region.

The Arabs wouldn't have to wait for the tide to turn in the US had the Arab Spring succeeded. The Arab Spring collapsed because a part of the Arab population betrayed the cause and the suckular paid servants of the non-Muslim world like sissy took advantage of that . Why would the US help Palestine? They are certified Islamophobic like rest of the western nations. They will oppose democratic change in the Muslim world with all the might they have for they know if democracy takes root their days of domination in the Muslim world will be over.

You're misunderstanding my comment probably, when I say it will benefit Muslims I mean that in sense it is a good sign from God aimed at benefiting us. Whenever you have specific group of people demonized to that extent, they will come out of it strong. I don't associate with such bigoted people(right wing or/and white nationalist, their philosophy on life is dumb and counter to what I believe in) to make clear and don't expect anything from them, I'm just telling you the domestic situation in terms of feelings towards each other is at a low point in the US and will only hurt our country the more hatred there is.

Sinai and Lebanon will not be touched, you are speculating. As for the Palestinian question, it's never too late, that's loser talk my friend. Leave the Palestine situation on God and general Muslims who will be lead by big boy Mahdi in our generation inshallah ....

Most remarkable part of that video is how he kept bringing his hand up and aiming and threatening the cop with that gun or whatever it was and the cop never reacts to that! Unbelievable! The cop didn't even try to take cover and kept shouting orders to get down and even approached the guy to cuff him.

I don't think people realize how crazy that whole sequence was. That guy would've had a whole clip emptied out in him if this was in the US and he tried, even once, to threaten a cop with something that looked very much like a gun. That's just crazy.

This is what amaze me as well, that was a major police operation. And people just walked by like nothing happened.

They don't seems to know what's going on? Even when there is a squad car next to it with a cop and his weapon drawn. Most likely these folks think they were shooting a movie.

That was not a firearm Alek was holding, according to the police.

And the Canadian, along with most of British Commonwealth (UK, Australia, Singapore) are using what we called "De-escalate Conflict Resolution" Where you start at one threat level, then work your way down. The whole method is to avoid confrontation and escalate the incident.

The police, in this case would have train and start with the most lethal weapon in their disposal (Sidearm) and then judging the situation ahead, finding reason NOT to use it, he may want to talk the person down and or try to de-escalate the tension into a lower form, which require a non-lethal action (In this case, baton arrest) or do something else.

He probably spotted that was not a firearm (I don't see it as a firearm as well from the video, its too squared, look much more like a phone) and the cop choose to talk instead of shoot.

In the US, you might have guessed it, we uses an "Escalating Conflict resolution" technique, where basically we start from the lowest level, and then basically, long story short, try to get justify the way to move up to lethal force.

It's about Rules of Engagement actually, not because of the people.

The cop is Asian, in fact, a Chinese, called Ken Lam.

And most people would not consider Armenian white, (they are next to Turkey) and consider themselves middle eastern. Some closer to Russia/Georgia would have been white, but if you look at the video, or watch the news, he looks brown as well

It's about Rules of Engagement actually, not because of the people.

You completely missed the humor in that part of my comment, Hungary. It's very well known here in the US that Canadians are very nice and polite people and get poked about it constantly.

And, you know as well as I do that if this happened in the US, chances are the second he raised whatever he had in his hand (cellphone, wallet whatever) in a threatening gesture to shoot the cop, he would've most likely been blasted. Heck every one here is talking about how this cop handled it well as far as not shooting him, but he didn't even take cover for crying out loud. Cops in the US shoot people just for reaching into their back pockets and especially if they know they're dealing with a criminal and this guy just mowed down 20+ people killing 10 of them. Even you have to admit this was extraordinary the way the cop handled it, especially when he didn't have any backup. At one point he actually takes his eye off the criminal and reaches in his car to shut the siren off! lol

You make no sense, I did not bring up the Palestinian subject in my post. I was referring to the domestic situation in the US. You then assumed I made such an assessment in context of the Palestinian subject and that it will benefit Palestinians, which I didn't mention at all. You are the one who brought it up into the discussion.
