In my opinion India should accept Taliban and Modi should visit Kabul. India needs to invest billons of dollars to build infrastructure in Afghanistan but this will be thook ke chatna for india.

I think Taliban has appointed him as the point man to negotiate with Indian govt.

IMA passout or not India has so far not said too much, India will be co ordinating with traditional allies Iran Russia and Tajikistan
We have had Deputy NSA level talks with the Russians and a "permanent bilateral channel" established between the nations
With Iran it has been a step beyond with EAM attending Pres Raisi's swearing in and recent visit of an IAF Global 5000, last publicly seen acting as the transport for the R&AW chief to Tribhuvan.
Tajikistan and India have very strong ties thanks to the IAF base at Farkhor and strong ties between the two nations incl BRO projects in the nation.
Commander Massoud was close not just with Iran/Tajikistan&Russia/India but also had solid ties with the French
None of these powers like the Talibs and maybe more will unfold in the days to come?

Why? bcz India used Iran for Kalbhushan landing. If India is a QUAD member and safeguarding the US interests then perhaps India can use Iran/Tajikistan soil to let US network established. Central Asia is a Russian backyard. Plus, India being in QUAD is weakening China which goes against Russian interests.

India always works in her interests, Russians know and respect the same.The Strategic partnership between the two are the strongest ever.
India China despite the cold, have very strong economic ties and both have high level discussions on most issues
BRICS and RIC are good forums for addressing the issues between these giants
And all three have no commonality with the Talibs so some co ordination will be expected

Even the Talibs are confused, the excellent Shri Abdul Basit has mentioned that Govt should have been formed for the next leg to commence but no one knows the reasons why the Talibs are waiting.

Since all that happened so far has gripped everyone with surprise... it will take time to digest and reflect on all of its implications. Gone is the dream of resurrecting an India centric paradigm, a Pakistan neutered and a central Asia that is Indian backyard. In fact Indian strategic footprint has been essentially cut down to a more benign level.

All this didn't happen in a vacuum... it was calculated and U.S., China and Russia made sure of that... by first keeping Indians out of eventual outcome in Afghanistan and subsequent swift Talib takeover put paid to that...
Indian idea of connecting to Afghanistan via G.B. was equally thwarted by Chinese preemptive actions in Ladakh... foiling any misadventure sealed by ultimate withdrawal from Afghan soil.

From Chabahar to central Asia... it is a one clean and crisp dissection.
Question is, how Pakistan fills this enhanced role constructively... can it connect with it's hinterland and historic disconnect due in part because of the great game...
Can we finally call it the closing chapter of the Great Game?

Pakistan n Spain want to have good relations with every one so what is spacial init. They have right to do so but it does not mean they will give free pass to India for terrorism against Pakistan like in past india had free pass for terrorism against Pakistan.
