A secret Bible in which Jesus is believed to predict the coming of the Prophet Muhammad to Earth has sparked serious interest from the Vatican.

Pope Benedict XVI is claimed to want to see the 1,500-year-old book, which many say is the Gospel of Barnabas, that has been hidden by the Turkish state for the last 12 years.

The £14million handwritten gold lettered tome, penned in Jesus' native Aramaic language, is said to contain his early teachings and a prediction of the Prophet's coming.

Turkish culture and tourism minister Ertugrul Gunay said the book could be an authentic version of the Gospel, which was suppressed by the Christian Church for its strong parallels with the Islamic view of Jesus.

He also said the Vatican had made an official request to see the scripture - a controversial text which Muslims claim is an addition to the original gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John.

In line with Islamic belief, the Gospel treats Jesus as a human being and not a God.

If you want to know if Prophet Muhammad PBUH was a Prophet or not, study Quran. The book (Quran) is still with us and can tell you if this is a message of Lord Almighty or not.

I had a chance to study Gita after talking to an Indian fellow in the forum. Gita is written in a narrative form in which Arjun said something and Krishna replied something. Its a talk and level of wisdom which you get there is more of a sufi-like. I ask non-Muslims to give Quran a read and see is that even a human writing style? If it is not, then think who should be the one to whom this Quran was revealed to.

Quran is not just set of advises, it tells you secrets which are otherwise impossible for us to know. We have found body of Phero in 1980 but Quran is telling you that he was killed and his body was saved for the world to witness and take a lesson from. Quran says river's water stay separate despite they unite in the ocean. There are hundreds of revelations, hundreds of incidents about the past and 100s of incidents about the future and on top of that, it tells you what Allah expects you to do with each other and with Him. Put Quran to any test you like and then see if it is a book of Lord or not and if it is, then Prophet Muhammad PBUH is the Prophet to whom it was revealed to.

There is lots of amendments in Bible actually you wont find it in original condition , people have amended the bible according to their needs so this is something new , that is why pop wants to see it as well

Everything is connected in some form for example in Hindu text we also have the story of the great flood but instead of Noah his name is Manu and he takes the seeds of life not the animals .

In Quran it tells you Allah has 99 names right? I also believe the supreme being is known by many names but the being is 1 and 1 only

I think Turks should led them EXAMINE the CONTENTS only and should not let Vetican's hand laid on the original Artifact. Its very Important and should be protected but Contents can be Provided to them and other Christian Sects in the form of Photographs so that Christian could get the point of this Gospel.

In original Aramaic Language which was spoken by Jesus(P.B.U.H) himself so it means that high probability of Text being Original without any Distortion during Translation.

I think this a fabrication to make this bible dated back 1500 yrs ago that authenticated Jesus prediction of Mohamed to be a prophet speak in tongue by spreading god message. Out of 30 billions people since the invention of god, only a handful blessed to be the messenger of god. Shit don't add up with reasoning.
