Maldives has fallen and been under Chinese influence for 5 years now. Maldives opposition has been requesting help from India for many years now but India had time and again shied away from taking any action due to the Chinese presence. India would make noises but that's about it. Looks like China is now handing over the responsibility of Maldives to Pakistan. This may be the reason why PN vessels may now be visiting Maldives.
