Breaking News: Russian forces ‘repel’ Ukraine advances in Donetsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions The short Ukraine momentum has come to conclusion

Information warfare needs to be fully equipped with information equipment, such as individual radio that can conduct video conference, etc. The Ukrainian army even is short of guns, let alone fully equipped with information equipment. In addition, the information war also has higher requirements on the quality of soldiers, which is not what ordinary people forcibly recruited by the Ukrainian government can do. I even suspect that HIMARS is used by American soldiers, not Ukrainian soldiers.
No........

Again, Information Warfare is a battle where you fought with weaponized information. You don't need to be fully equipped with Information Equipment (Whatever that is) it's how you use information.

Network Centric Warfare is a war conducted with advance communication. And Ukrainian have that capability to coordinate and control every bit of the battlespace

This is what a Ukrainian TOC looks like

And finally, I don't know where your "Ukrainian don't even have enough guns" come from.

People who think this is a war between Russia and Ukraine live in LA, LA Land. THE TRUTH IS THAT THIS WAR IS BETWEEN RUSSIA AND NATO inside Ukraine. As soon as you understand this fact, the sooner you will connect ALL the dots.

Russia's backwardness in the information war is not only limited to some weapons. But the whole military system, the way the army is formed, the way of command and so on are backward in all aspects. China can provide Beidou system to Russia and sell various automatic command terminal systems to Russia. However, information warfare actually means that the reconnaissance, command and processing situation is integrated in the terminal, so that commanders can master the enemy and ourselves in real time and react. This has a high requirement for the quality of front-line combatants. The Russian army cannot do that. The performance of HIMARS is not strong, but the unidirectional transparency of battlefield information makes it strong.
When is China’s starlink equivalent system expect to become operational?

. .
China has better choice than starlink. Satellite drone. It's much cheaper and fully functional.

It’s a decent system for the use of a relatively small number of troops, but no substitute for a whole army.

Drones can be shot down, and there likely aren’t as many to carry the volume of data a full fledged war would require.

This is what I could find so far. How long do you think it would be Seems before they could achieve satellite constellations akin to starlink, if given the go ahead by their financiers?

Musk said he doesn't care if Russia shoots down starlink satellites because it's too expensive for Russia. The drone is much much cheaper than starlink satellites. Dosens of drones like this can cover whole territory of a big country like Ukraine. Starlink will bankrupt when the drone technology is maturer.

You hit the nail right on the head like I have been saying for so long.

If Russia wins Ukraine lost.
If Russia loses NATO won.

In December 2018, the first seven satellites of China's starlink were launched. These satellites are different from the 4G satellites of the USA, Ours use 5G communication technology.

At the end of 2022, China starlink Phase I Project (Hongyan Constellation Phase I Project) will be put into trial operation. Operate Phase II project before 2025. The number of satellites that will eventually form the Chinese version of the "starlink" will reach 12992(in 2035).

BTW:
In 2025, China will start to build an asteroid defense system.

The war in Ukraine showed how important this capability is, and how this capability (satellite dish plus continuous high bandwidth service) is a game changer for small unit operations. China could also earn a good deal from providing this service to friendly militaries as well as learn a good deal more from exercises with these partner nations. Knowledge that could help better train troops and better make friendly nations more interoperable with the PLA, such as UN peacekeeping missions.

The quality of satellites in the US starlink is very poor, and the cost of each satellite is only 500k dollars. I really doubt the role of these space small potatoes in the Ukrainian war, maybe they can only provide some communication services for Ukrainian soldiers.

Of course, SpaceX is only a private enterprise with limited funds. It is a miracle that it can launch tens of thousands of satellites into space.

The satellites launched by China are better and more expensive, China starlink is high-resolution optical remote sensing satellites. Some satellites have demonstrated the technology of following F22.

It can be predicted that the performance of the Chinese starlink is much better than that of the space potato starlink.

You don't even know what you are talking about. The Ukrainian troops that were in Mariupol were still able to communicate while surrounded and with all the jamming, it didn't matter. Not to mention for the Ukrainian civilians able to communicate when internet was cutoff during the occupation or destruction of the internet services. The Starlink was meant for remote locations for people who didn't have access to reliable internet which was the plan years ago.

Of course, the $500k small potato can only ensure communication in remote areas.

China StarLink has launched more than 60 satellites. These satellites are high resolution remote sensing satellites, and they can do more than provide communication services.

Yeah 500k satellite that prevents the Russians from jamming during wartime. So you can imagine such capabilities in a possible war with China.

.
I like the idea of countering these small and cheap satellites by dropping billions of tiny iron balls into orbit. I'm sure the US and China can do it.
Its possible to do it. Most likely all satellites will be destroyed.

But China's StarLink will have more satellites and better quality. You can try to use potatoes to interfere with China's high resolution optical remote sensing satellite.
