The officials who have been terminated from service include a Group Captain, a Wing Commander and a Squadron Leader. The officers deviated from the standard operating procedures which led to the accidental firing of the missile: Indian Air Force (IAF) officials

Assalam-O-Alaikum,

Dear Sir, nothing seems to be breaking in this NEWS.

IMO, India already achieved all necessary data and the anticipated reaction of this test and that was also in a real scenario - Pakistan achieved nothing but some pats on the international forum for showing restraint/being fooled.

If the command of our armed forces claimed that they were aware of the flight path of the projectile then they missed a golden opportunity to intercept it in real scenarios to validate the parameter/credibility of their own defensive shield/system if they have any but they didn't.

Because Indians, with their medieval mindset , think that somehow they would appear dominant if they can control the pace of things and draw out undesirable outcomes as long as they can...

I don't care about Indians.

I only care about Pakistan's response to this firing incident, accidental or not.

There was total silence from our side, in fact we downplayed this incident, I have seen Mian channu videos, Brahmos turned shops/house into rubbles.

You forget that we are not in state of war with India and there are also flights on the same routes, so we opted to delay our response otherwise it could be Iran like situation where they shoot down civilian aircraft.

See when India drop bombs on trees we took some time to response and world knows we put shame on India's pride.

Government departmental queries take time. You cannot just fire someone with a proper inquiry.

Sir, but ISPR claimed that they were aware of the flight path of the projectile for the duration of the flight - so when the claim is there of the projectile, I took it as a reference that they were sure of that.
Pakistan's armed forces should always respond to India as a real threat to Pakistan - take it if the real warhead was there, how many of us could live to see the day?

See when India drop bombs on trees we took some time to response and world knows we put shame on India's pride.
That response was a planned and very calculated one. Indian aircraft stayed for a very short time in Pakistan's air space. It seems that our air defenses were again either not capable or unable to respond in time.

PAF already established that scrambled aircraft will unable to reach the area in time and when PAF will be there the enemy aircraft will be in their own air space.

Further, in the present scenario and time, our defense system should be able to differentiate between missiles and aircraft, if not we are at a severe disadvantage against India.

You could say that in the confirmation game of missile/aircraft, we will always be sitting duck due to lack of time.

Take it for vice-versa, what do you anticipate of the Indian response?

Pakistan categorically rejects the investigation which raises more questions than answers into the grave matter. A regional and international level impartial approach should be adopted to address the problems that come with old colonial structured Indian command chain.

There was a member on this forum who said a month or so ago that 3 officers have indeed been fired. I cannot recall the name of the member, but he is active on the PAF section.

Moreover, pretty surprised to see that India has officially admitted that they let go of 3 officers for this. Perhaps to send a public message to Pakistan?

I would rather support the Pak response. Tracking the flight itself means a huge stuff as they understood it wasn't after any valuable targets. As for taking it down, Pak side shouldn't have exercised it even if they could to keep the secrecy. The broken pieces are a treasure trove to study it's materials science and engineering further to develop more effective counter measures.....

Some people being booted out was always going to happen after they officially admitted their mistake. However , no one believes it was accidental firing. Some modi bhakt did this deliberately, but Indians would not admit to that.

Oh no doubt about the booting part, but publicly admitting to the booting out is surprising.

Seems a bit far fetched, no? What would you gain by firing an inert warhead?
