Increasing taxes, slows economy, increases deficit, increases inflation, it is a vicious circle.

You can not keep increasing taxes indefinitely on people without cutting expenditure.

Pakistan's poor cannot subsidise the lavish life styles of the corrupt elite. The elite gets all the money from IMF, don't pay taxes themselves and than impose more and more taxes on the public. This ain't going any where and It has to stop somewhere. This is what IK is trying to do.

Its simple, Pay your taxes first and then ask the public for it!

The Pakistani government hopes to expand the tax base because international donors are not willing to finance Pakistani government deficits -- but perhaps the Islamicans favorites, the arbi, will come forward - after all, if Pakistan is to be rebuild after the floods, if it is to be developed, how can this be done with out increase the tax base.

Mr. Imran Khan is a net zero, how many deputies does his PTI have in Majlis?? - his standing, his stature is that of the late Nawabzada (AKA Haramzada) Nasrullah Khan, that is to say that in Pakistani politics one can count on Mr. Khan to play the agitator, the front for someone else who is financing and organizing. I saw follow the money.

Imran Khan has become the mayor of crazy town. We need this because it will allow us to document all the people that should be paying taxes that dont. this will also bring a large part of the economy from black to white. If this guy had any sense he would not oppose these measures.
Credit where credit is due to the government of pakistan for taking the right step and going ahead with this initiative.
