Breaking news: AirAsia plane missing with 162 passengers!

The media will again put the blame on the pilot because they know if they put the blame on 2 engine plane , airlines will cancel orders for Boeing or Airbus, that is the big game being played now

Alot of people don't know this many people state that After the air flight was invented - 2 major powers dominated the commercial airlines which are sold for "BILLIONS" and its no wounder any opposing faction was either destroyed in ww1 or ww2

There is a reason why no competitor is allowed in that sector.

A crash of a competing company is "HIGHLIGHTED" as flaw in Technology and engineering however any flaws by Airbus or Boeing are merely pilot faults

But isn't it possible to nose dive and gain some speed and then pull the aircraft upward to reduce the falling speed and get some forward acceleration,? or may need changes to aerodynamics to make such handling of aircraft,? I mean gliding?
if it is Just stalling, what ever you said is the procedure, but if it stalls deep and yaws, chances of belly flop, then it is tough to recover, then it is out of control.

I don't want to sound overly pessimistic but seriously what have been done to-date by Malaysian Aviation Authority to prevent such incidents after the last one?...and secondly what could have been done to stop such occurrences? The answer to this would only be given when you know the exact circumstances in which the incident happened and that is a million dollar question right now...

I said it many times , the 2 Engine Boeing and Airbus planes are not safe ..... for flights over sea
and these accidents happening are proof ,that these planes are UNDEPENDABLE

Why were there less accidents before , simple planes had 4 engines , if 1 failed the 3 engines carried the plane safely to airports

Now with just 2 engines , the planes juts go down

Sad but its reality

Boeing and Airbus planes are not safe

With old models there were less crashes , mainly in 10-12 years you would hear of 1 crash
but the new planes are falling like fireflies every next year after the 3-4 year warranty is done

buddy I am from electrical branch, but yes, two engines aircraft is a risk. I believe the more complicated you make the aircraft it has more risk of errors.

It is always a mechanical failure mostly. But Yes electrical and electronic failure are never the less dangerous.

He didn't need to look at the sidesticks.
He could have looked at the PFD if he wanted to know what the pitch attitude was. And he did.

That's your problem.

Why don't you rely on official sources?

If you want to have a serious debate with me, read the BEA report first here:

BEA - Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la sécurité de l'aviation civile

or watch the animation here which may be easier for you.

And what is an official source? ATC, Speedometer, ISIS? Which one!

We have been doing research on air tyre pressure check and the reliability of circuits used as avionics. As far as electrical is concerned, the manufacturing gives guarantee that if the temp does not exceed 120°c, the circuit is fine above that there is no guarantee of functioning. All official sources even if neglected it is not human error. Under bad conditions it is always tough to follow procedures. As we learn from experience.

The search is continuing for AirAsia Indonesia flight QZ8501, a day after it went missing with 162 people on board.

The head of Indonesia's search and rescue agency has said that available information indicates that the plane could be at the bottom of the sea.

However, no evidence has so far been found of the plane's whereabouts.

Officials in Surabaya, from where the plane took off, said search teams were only just reaching the area of the Java Sea where the plane is believed to be.

Object spotted in sea not from AirAsia plane: Indonesian VP - Channel NewsAsia
POSTED: 29 Dec 2014 18:03 UPDATED: 29 Dec 2014 18:17

JAKARTA: An object spotted during a sea search for an AirAsia plane was not from the aircraft, Indonesia's vice president said on Monday (Dec 29), after reports that an Australian surveillance aircraft had found something.

"It has been checked and no sufficient evidence was found to confirm what was reported," Jusuf Kalla told a press conference at Surabaya airport from where the ill-fated plane departed.

Kalla said there were 15 ships and 30 aircraft searching the area. "It is not an easy operation in the sea, especially in bad weather like this," he said.

Indonesian Air Force spokesman Hadi Tjahjanto told AFP the search was now focused on a patch of oil spotted off Belitung island in the Java Sea. "We are making sure whether it was avtur (aviation fuel) from the AirAsia plane or from a vessel because that location is a shipping line," he said.

Australia, Singapore and Malaysia have deployed planes and ships to assist in the Indonesian search for Flight QZ8501, which disappeared over the Java Sea on Sunday en route to Singapore.

Missing AirAsia Flight QZ8501: India puts 3 ships, plane on standby - The Times of India

NEW DELHI: India has put on standby three ships and a maritime surveillance aircraft for assistance in the search operation after an AirAsia flight with 162 people on board on Sunday went missing en route from Indonesia to Singapore after losing contact with air traffic controllers.

Indian Navy sources said one ship in Bay of Bengal and another two in Andaman Sea have been put on standby.

Along with these, a P-8I aircraft has also been put on standby. The aircraft is used for maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare operations.

"The assets have been put on standby in view of the gravity of situation. They will be rushed into service as and when any order is issued," the sources said.

Air traffic control approved the pilot's request to turn left but denied permission for the plane to climb to 38,000 feet from 32,000 feet, Djoko Murjatmodjo, an aviation official at the Indonesian Transport Ministry, told the national newspaper Kompas.

The increased altitude request was denied because there was another plane flying at that height, he said.
Some clarifications about these denials.

When an aircrew asks for permission to do something, that does not mean they are under absolute control from the ground and that they can do nothing other than what is approved. Even when these air corridors are not real time monitored by radars, and that is because of simple geography and money, if ground controllers know, with high certainty, on who is where in terms of headings and latest known altitudes, they can better advise all traffic in case there are any issues that may affect everyone in the area. The 'permission' here is more about both sides being cooperative on a proposal.

Ultimately, if the aircrew believes that they are better off with the proposed change, they WILL make the change regardless of whatever ground controllers say, approved or not. In this case, ground controllers will acknowledge the change and make note.

He displayed 10 photos of objects resembling a plane door, emergency slide, and a square box-like object.

An AFP photographer on the same flight that spotted the debris said he had seen objects in the sea resembling a life raft, life jackets and long orange tubes.
