Because richer countries can afford to divert billions of $'s to there space programmes because the problems they face are incomparable to third world countries.. Thats why they are developed and you're poor

Any way i do not wish to have a debate here on poverty and derail the thread.. Congrats anyways, Indians should be proud either way

only those countries progress which think big , india invests in future bcz we know space technology is the future , it is a necessity for being self reliant .

lanka is free to put their money on beaches and coconut trees , sure your country would be a good tourist hot spot and by giving british tourist a nice back massage you guys might get good dollar tips , good for your economy and a viable investment for pussy countries .

and if ever you needed any help then you can always beg & borrow from others .

Congratulations to ISRO .

Chinese butt hurts are raining in this thread .... :D

OK.. Feel better now ? You need therapy go get help

Congrats again India
Its always good to see countries explore space more and more . I wish all countries in the world could unite to explore space. There are so many things out there which we can llear, since space is so vast that we haven't even explored 0.1% of it, yet we are still indulging in wasteful competitions, ego, politics etc.

Anyway, this is another step in the right direction. This is indeed a big achievement, since its not easy to send a space craft to such a distant planet independently(though with some help from NASA). Congrats India., you can be proud of this achievement.
again:hitwall:
Too many ppl have this doubt let me clear this
ISRO has its own deep sapce network( and technology of everything for deep space network) installed.

but due to earth's rotation and other factors antenna's of DSN must be installed on more than one location in different locations( countries ) for all round coverage.ISRO has its tracking and control antenna's installed in india , srilanka and in some other countries but that is not enough it leaves some blind spots where our signal cant reach.one solution is install more antenna'a and maintenance station( isro already has technology ) in more countries other side of globe which will be very expensive because ISRO only lauches 1-2 interplanetary missions in a decade. So its more cost effective to ask NASA to receive Signals from MOM when ISRO DSN is blind and transmit those signals to ISRO.

Its like asking your neighbor to install your tv signals antenna because on your roof tv signals are not coming

on reading about NASA helping ISRO with DSN ,some ppl get the impression that ISRO dont have deep space network of its own or technology. Its completely wrong as i explained above.

Well It was just a 50 million dollar mission and ISRO earns money every year by launching foreign satellites too. Not to forget that Majority of Indian satellites are launched by ISRO which could have cost way more to us if we would not had ISRO and we had to rely on other countries for launch. Also India is gonna need lots of satellites in coming days for civilian to military purpose.

you are the butthurt here , not me

its indian tax payers money not your dads personal provident funds , we will drain it wherever we feel its necessary , now go give a nice massage to some foreigner .

Lol, 25% of those island dwellers are hungry and poor...A country that takes donations from every possible country and that survives on as you said servicing the tourists.

Does anyone Know who are the BIGGEST LOSERS in Life??
