That is my view. It is a trademark of monarchies for there to be a period of internal strife when a new monarch ascends to the throne. Such was the case amongst Mughal princes following the death of the Badishah. Aurgenzeb vs Dara Shikoh comes to mind. Similar trends existed in the Ottoman Empire. Saudi monarchy I suppose is no different.

People say these things like there is no human cost involved. The fall of Assad (not quite) and Saddam and Gaddafi have bought rivers of milk and honey to Libya, Iraq and Syria - Saudi will see the same rivers if it goes to civil war. I do one post or so every two weeks or so. Wouldn't call it hibernation.
