BREAKING: A helicopter carrying 8 senior Saudi officials including prince Mansour Bin Muqrin, crashe

إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

This is not a coincides. Saudi is in political turmoil, and what we are seeing is a classical power struggle. Muhammad bin Salman is trying to erase the old clique.

You do realize that the deceased prince was an advisor (one out of many) to the Crown Prince Court (MbS is the current Crown Prince) until he died in the crash? If MbS wanted to remove him from power he could easily have been included in the list yesterday of those arrested or dismissed.
He was moreover appointed back in 2015 by King Salman. Nor is a prince born in 1973 a part of the "old guard" as he merely entered a political function in 2015.

It was an incident. They happen several times each day across the world. Abha is a mountainous city (2300 meters above sea level) and that part of KSA has low visibility and much fog this time of the year.

It's beyond pathetic to claim that MBS somehow wanted to kill a low-level prince out of the 2000 or so princes that have any political/financial influence. Because as we all know killing distant family members is a very good way of making yourself popular. Not only that the House of Saud has a "long tradition" (irony is being used here) of killing each other.

whats going on here events in the last 48 hours are :

hariri resigns
soft coup resulting in many prince's and ministers arrrested
scud missle attack from yemen
and now this .. WTHH !!??

Hariri resigned due to the political instability and chaos (something perpetual in Lebanon since decades) of Lebanon and because (apparently) an assassination attempt was uncovered against him planned by Hezbollah. He resigned in KSA because he and his family have close ties to KSA and he was moreover born in Riyadh. This decision has little to do with the domestic affairs of KSA if any.

Around 30 princes, former officials and a few current ministers were arrested or dismissed due to an ongoing corruption probe. We are talking about an astounding sum of money that will be uncovered and returned to the state. People are rejoicing about this (you can see the reactions on social media) and hailing the move by MbS. The same MbS promised to do just that way back when he was still a Deputy Crown Prince.

Some of those arrested are responsible for the neglect that occurred during the 2009 Jeddah floods and until recently were playing games to avoid financial responsibility. One can only hail such moves and this is a very positive thing not the contrary.

The firecracker was intercepted with no personal or material losses.

Likewise this is also (obviously) a positive thing.

As for this crash, see my answer to this at the beginning of my post.

BTW I think that KSA will be OK despite a low-ranking prince (1 out of 2000 with some relevance) dying in a plane crash along with 7 other low ranking figures. People should calm down.

Wrong video, as well as the departed Prince was a Deputy Governor, not Governor as the other video is proclaiming.

Asir is a mountainous and very green region.

A very beautiful region in fact with a perfect climate.

Strange things are happening in Hijaz. Crackdown, resignations, crash.. all within 24 hours.

You again obsessing about KSA and Arabs as usual? Hijaz? Are you drunk? Hijaz is not a country. It is one of the many ancient historical regions that make up modern-day KSA and Arabia. KSA is not Hijaz, Najd, Eastern Arabia, Northern Arabia or anything in between either. It is KSA.

Or do you want people to go around and call Pakistan for Sindh? Or Punjab? How old are you again?

.
Since Salman become the king it started the end game of for the family

This king looks like a puppet grown by Israelis with in the Saudi family he brought KSA into this turmoi

If you look in his tensure KSA had bad policies of wasting money than oil prices than giving permission for driving to woman hajj incident Yemen issue playing with fire in Yemen and secret meeting with Israeli govt now these

As much as any Pakisani has to do with it. Pure speculations for the fun of it. Or something I'm missing and that you are actually a cloak wearing Arab hiding in Pakistan. In such a case, be warned, many young Arabs in Pakistan are becoming fodder for drones here! :D

What an Indian has anything to do with Saudi Arabia or House of Saud ?

Listen to one of my all time favs! :D

Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
And stars fill my dream
I'm a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed
Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace
Sounds caress my ear
And not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Oh, baby, I been blind
Oh, yeah, mama, there ain't no denyin'
Oh, ooh yes, I been blind
Mama, mama, ain't no denyin', no denyin'
All I see turns to brown
As the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand
As I scan this wasted land
Try to find, try to find the way I feel
Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like sorts inside a dream
Leave the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert stream
Like Shangri-la beneath the summer moon
I will return again
As the dust that floats finds you
We're moving through Kashmir
Oh, father of the four winds fill my sails
Cross the sea of years
With no provision but an open face
Along the straits of fear
Oh, when I want, when I'm on my way, yeah
And my feet wear my fickle way to stay
Ooh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah yeah,
But I'm down oh, yeah yeah, oh, yeah
Yeah, but I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, oh, my baby
Let me take you there
Come on, oh let me take you there
Let me take you there

I am quite sure that such "Arabs" in Pakistan can be counted on 1 or 2 hands.

Are you totally insane? You are simply enjoying a plane crash where 1 prince and 7 ordinary/civilian people died? Need to visit a doctor or read 31 post to begin with as everything is explained in detail. Nothing to enjoy as much worse happens in Pakistan on a weekly basis yet nobody here is gloating about it. Not cool. Holding back just because you are an old acquittance/internet friend here. I thought that you were better than that dude.

Your or anyone else here might be next (or your family members, friends etc.), the next time a helicopter or a plane crashes. Never rejoice in such accidents.

I actually listened to it just yesterday morning
