Brazil ignores India, sells arms to Pakistan

Taimi, since you seems to have gotten offended by my comments, I have taken them off.

Well why is PAF waiting for, they should have gone for it right when ordered Blk 52s, if it was on table then.

100 of these would be another boost.

100 AGM-88 HARMs
100 MAR-1s
and Chinese ones should have been checked out too.

Diversified portfolio.

:)

with the induction of the blk-52 and upgrade of the blk 15's, the AGM-88 Harm will be delivered - this is confirmed by a source within the PAF.

.
wellll i dont think so brazilians will listen to indians what to do or not to do

I dont think either. At this point, Indians are not that powerfully trading with Brazil yet, despite all the talk about BRIC countries. Brazil could be using such sales as a trigger point to achieve higher sales from India. if I were an arms supplier, I'd go make a small deal with Pakistan and get India all alarmed about it, in the hopes that they would place a much bigger order to neutralize that small order. Other countries have adopted this strategy before. India has to be careful here. It can be drawn into a wasteful arms race or prioritize purchases based on its ACTUAL needs, which should be more spending on internal policing and homeland security technologies, and not on external defense.

.
Congratulations to Pak friends for getting arms from Brazil.

Actually its a fair $ game. The BRICs need to develope quicker:)..

During the official visit of Marshal Pradeep Vasant Naik, commander of the Air Force of India, Brazil, and technology issues, academic and trade between the two countries' military organizations and / or local suppliers, may have been somehow addressed the issue thorny sales Mectron missiles to Pakistan, the government of New Delhi does not want to see realized, thus seeking a greater depth of businesses in the area of defense with Brazil.

The Indian concern is with the supply of different items, such as anti-missile radar MAR-1, which was acquired in 2008, with credit support from the Brazilian government, despite strong opposition from the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, 100 units were sold for 85 million euros, generating predictable diplomatic protests in India and the new air-air missile MAA-1B Piranha2 that the Pakistan Air Force could be the international launch customer. Pakistan has been, for example, the first military customer for the Phenom 100 executive jet from Embraer, which bought four.

It is noteworthy that the Mectron also produces anti-tank missiles MSS 1.2, in addition, together with Britanite produces guidance and guidance kits for conventional bombs.

The purpose of the purchases of weapons, which India wants not to become effective, which occurred on 8 and June 18, a C-130 PAF (Pakistan Air Force) took off from Sao Jose dos Campos, bound for Faisalabad, via Dakar, allegedly with about 10 tons of cargo shipped on each trip.

What is worth mentioning that between product sales and exchanges of materials for military production, foreign trade between Brazil and India could reach U.S. $ 10.000 billion, while with Pakistan would not exceed U.S. $ 500 million. Brazil, India and South Africa share a common political space, as emerging powers, often with very similar positions, including supporting each other to join the UN Security Council (Javier Bonilla).

India needs to be careful here. I believe countries are using Pakistan as a bait to lure India into an arms race.

What what sort of hemmorage does India has in her butt?? India has a concern everywhere Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka are trying to source arms from. Cant they mind their own business?? Ohh well i guess they cant because their plans are total domination of South Asia and the more arms sold to neighbouring countries the more painful it gets for Indian to conquer.

And BRIC is going to be a tasteless failure because it is composed of countries which are intense rivals of each other.
