They wont sell any high tech weapons like F-22 or JSF to india. They are closing down F-16 line anyway. so they offered India F-16's, they thought that atleast lets make money off of it.

Yeah the F-16 block 70 would be way beyond indias means. The Super Hornet is that cheap either but getting it would be quite an upgrade for india which has been flying old Soviet jets and some older european planes. Can they handle the training or are they going to keep crashing american jets too? like the flying coffins (mig21).
I would be quite surprised if hindustan orders their 126 + MRCA before 2010. Takes them a long time to understand things and place an order.
