The fact of the matter is that he cannot go to a mosque and pray. Unless he and her become Muslims first.
He surely can visit a mosque. But we don't worship idols, so he would not find any false idol to worship and do a photo opp.

Prayer is prayer and we should respect all religions.
If this is a political move by the PM then it's something every politican does, they hold speeches in local languages, pay homage to culture/ food/ historical figures or show respect to religion. Nothing drastically different from others.
