I don't know if anything can be done for these people. They will always blame someone else for their problems. I mean what has Iran got to do with this. There is virtually no terrorism in Iran. It has an independent foreign policy.

Shias are being killed like cows in Pakistan. Surely someone out of the 45 million shias will respond back. Till date 13000 hazaras have been killed. This does not count the number of other shias, which are also a high number, killed.

I mean the attacks are doubling in frequency now. There goes the cry that Zarb e Azb was successful and achieving wonderful results. The problem isn't going to disappear until we stand the hell up and say no more. I would even suggest forming target killing gangs that hit at taliban militants using some of the same tactics militants use. Anything. Anything that will rid us of this menace. Having written an entire book on the problem I highlight a few core issues:

1) Militants seeking extortion money from richer people in Waziristan or the few businesses there are.
2) The series of injustices or in some cases oppression which the militants claim to deal with. For example in my book there is this one issue of a guy whose brother is killed by gangs in Swat. When te Taliban helps him take revenge he becomes a stalwart supporter of the Taliban.
3) Rampant unemployment: With an unemployment rate of 60%+ in FATA the problem is bound to be exacerbated. Taliban militants are actually paying their people. There was an entire article about it on dawn. Also they pay their men better than the Pakistan police-which points to Indian involvement-or at least someone powerful and rich at their side.
4) Low literacy: With a literacy rate of 22% and womens literacy at 7%... well good luck defeating terrorism where people even think polio drops are to make men and women infertile.
5) Afghan Soviet war and the use of Jihadi's by the state for strategic goals: We should never have supported militants attacking Soviets in Afghanistan. You don't interfere in another nation-ever ever.
6) The education system-are we taught to actually hate Hindus?

There are probably some more points I am missing which i added in an entire report. But as for the solution-it can only be extremely radical and as brutal as the violence the militants use.

Where are these (false) statistics coming from. After the zarb e azb which began after the karachi airport attack there have been how many attacks? 5, 6. All in a single month or max 2 months. Also they said the same thing about Rah e Nijat in South Waziristan. Out of the 6 tehsils of south waziristan where the operation was conducted, only one Sararogha was cleared. Rest of the area the military only had presence in check posts or roads or high ground. I think we need target killings and car bombings but this time us against militants.

Nazir when he was eliminated by US and his replacement was Bahawal Khan was on the crux of waging war against the TTP. Why was he killed at such an importunate moment? If we think doing whatever the US tells us will win us results we are sadly mistaken. We launched this operation on their behest without looking to completely clear out South Waziristan itself. Shia kill one sunni scholar and sunni kill hundreds because they are more powerfull compared to them.
