I am not surprised at reading this misleading and false statement, even as we mourn a dead child and twenty injured people.

There have been lots of events in retaliation for the Babri Masjid and Gujarat incidents. Two wrongs don't make a right. Nobody has a right to retaliate for crimes committed anywhere on the defenceless, on civilians, on women or on children.

It is chilling to note the cold-blooded response, the total absence of regret or sympathy, the single-minded concentration on the calculus of catching up.

I was watching news on 'NDTV 24x7', Guy made the comment during a commercial break, but the comment went to air live as its broadcast had not been interrupted. He was heard to say "Don't say anything about Indian Mujahhidin e-mail on TV".

IM claims responsibility for Varanasi blast


New Delhi: Terror group Indian Mujahideen has taken responsibility for the blast in Varanasi. Union Home Secretary GK Pillai said that Indian Mujahideen was responsible for the blast in Varanasi on Tuesday evening in which at least one child has been killed and 20 others injured.
"It's a terror strike," Pillai told CNN-IBN.
Indian Mujahideen sent an e-mail to media houses claiming that the blast in Varanasi was in retaliation to the verdict in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janambhoomi title suit case.The e-mail taking responsibility for the blast was sent from Malad in Mumbai.
Security agencies traced the Internet Protocol address of the five-page e-mail signed by 'Al-Arbi' to Malad in the suburbs of Mumbai. Police teams have been sent to the area to find out the details.
Intelligence Bureau sources told CNN-IBN that the e-mail was prepared on Monday.
