Harbin H425 of Bolivian Army (c) www.armyrecognition.c
The Bolivian Army remained dissatisfied with Chinese Harbin H425 multirole helicopters. Bolivian Army bought six Harbin H425 helicopters in 2014 and now have completed two years of operations in Bolivian territory with mixed success.

The Government of Bolivia has invested $ 104 million in the purchase of rotary wing aircraft of the China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC), and a lot of spare parts, accessories, simulator and pilot training and technicians.

A usage report of the Bolivian Air Force denounced several problems during the commissioning of the helicopters. In service for two years, the results of Z-9 are particularly mixed. That was reported by blog.24heures.ch

According to the report, training on the equipment was not sufficient for the pilots but also for the maintenance teams. Moreover, maintenance problems appeared quickly. Maintenance teams face many repetitions to failure due to defective parts.

The H425 is a newly developed version of the Harbin Z-9 which itself is the Chinese version of the EADS /Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin/Panther helicopter. The delivery of the H425 would be the first rotary wing assets to the Bolivian Armed Forces.

.
Nothing new, even Pakistan railways have had issues with spare parts reliability and life cycle of components on equipment's and locos supplied.

.
This is the problem when they refused to increase more money for training and spares.

Read carefully sir, it says........

"According to the report, training on the equipment was not sufficient for the pilots but also for the maintenance teams. "Moreover," maintenance problems appeared quickly. Maintenance teams face many repetitions to FAILURE DUE TO DEFECTIVE PARTS".

This is the second incident in two days alone. First Indonesian president watched failure or both C-705 missiles that were fired and now this............ It goes without saying...........
You get what u pay for.

You Indians are so quick to jump on? If you manage the follow Indonesia C705 missile exercise saga. It's all Indonesia armed forces fault. They use a 40km range fire control radar try to fire the C705 to 50km range target. Checkout that thread. Sorry to disappoint you that our weapon still maintain high quality :enjoy:

And as for the helo, they themselves admit training is not enough for maintenance team. Would I say chances Of them screwing up good parts are higher? As somebody mention, many other countries has less issue, more like user fault.

Come on Bolivian friends...Your expectation should match with the amount you paid for. if you pay for good quality product, you will not have issue. You should have paid more money to China and spend more time in proper training of the equipment..

These are missiles bro, it has to have good quality. Cannot expect the missile to be a dud. It has to work. It's not like one missile failed both missiles significantly failed. Clearly shows lack of quality.

Had it been a wartime scenario, you'd be dead and out two ship. No one can afford that.

Bolivians should learn to fly helicopters first before blaming Chinese for their deficiencies.

. .
what does bolivia gain by blaming china ?
Your question sounds silly. The government and military will be free of blame for their incompetency and no need to answer so much to taxpayer by playing blame shoving.
