Bohot Ba-Barkat Hai Yeh - Hassan Nisar on Process of Re-unification of MQM Factions

Unfortunately, they've been chipping away at Pakistan with their little adventures for so long, and seem so willing to keep doing so, there might not be a Pakistan left when they are done with it.

Pakistan only exists in name. You are right...

My friend u r right all of these r facts but same pathans r very peaceful in northern areas ... Its not about ethinicty but group of individuals ... It was few dozen ghundas at katti phari not thousands living there ...
Are you really from Karachi ? Because there is no way only few Gunda's live in Kati Pahari. I've been to areas in Kati Pahari to the very top of it thanks to Afghan class mates, that area looked nothing like Pakistan or Karachi. There are tiny houses and outside every house there is a guy sitting with his AK/Shotgun. Pathans can be as peaceful but they should've stayed in KPK, the biggest mistake was to let them in Karachi in hundreds, now Karachi is F'd up forever.

U can hear similar stories from pathans when MQM guys burn or looted pathans at orangi or korangi ...
Of course, but MQM dominated Areas were still far better than Pashtoon/Sindhi or Baloch dominated Areas, At MQM don't misbehave with girls or women.

Within muhajir wasnt landhi korangi was in accessible to mutahida by haqeeqi?
That's political, not cultural. Pashtoon/Baloch and Sindhi's and their culture is nothing short of barbaric and backward, if they were in China or USA, they'd be in re-educational camps, Honestly I think that is what we need to do.

The point i am highlighting here is its not ethinicity its the greater game where these differences r created to keep us fighting while our elite keep us looting ... Who created this ethinic divide and why ? It was created to defeat bhutto in early 80s by zia ... He created PMLN for punjab mqm for karachi and when mqm became powerful they promoted anp to check mqm ...
I've heard this excuse on PDF, on ground reality is different. If you want to live in a fools paradise than its your choice, but fact remains that Karachi was much better place before the Pashtoons/Sindhi's and Baloch came in droves, later joined by Saraiki's. Honestly Part of me wish that Karachi was a separate country, and if that was the case Karachi's GDP would be better than rest of Pakistan.

Just one operation by raheel sharief and everyone gone ...
Terrorism ? nope, because Terrorism has direct link to Pashtoon/Baloch and Sindhi culture, they are easy to radicalized because of their cultural practices, they are already living in baba Adam era, you can bring them to a country like Norway or Demark and within 6 months they will turned that country into a pile of trash and gard of Terrorism. All of that because they are too proud to give up their old/poshteni riwayaat which brought nothing but destruction to Pakistan. If people are good than Politics won't divide people, but unfortunately these people live like Barbarians in their Aabai areas and they want to turn entire Pakistan into that too.

I am just highlighting that every ethinicity has its own share of good and bad people ... Karachi is being kept like this so that we dont ask for our rights and keep on fighting with each other
Karachi was mostly peaceful from 2007 to 2012, thanks to heavy influx of Tribals, Liyari gangs and Sindhi Wadera's making their way to Karachi to take its share of wealth. Each of them bring a new issue with themselves, Pathans bring TTP/JuA/AQ and Afghans, Baloch brings BLA/Gangs and Sindhi brought lawlessness, and Saraiki brings mobile snatchers and dako raj. Kick all of them back to their Areas and Karachi will once again become peaceful. But its too late, all these 3-4 ethnicities are going nowhere and having Peace back in Karachi is also a dream.

I guess

during the recent by-elections as well, where MQM got, like 18k votes?

and the ONLY way to ensure that is to name and shame them. Make the cost to their image not worth the benefits they get out of their f*ckeries.

Which is where some people try to act too sagacious and try to reason with the ordinary people. Name a single thing that is reasonable about what the generals did last year? or before, for that matter
Blame the politicians in cahoots with the generals too then. It takes two hands to clap. Pols were willing to play ball and thus allowed Bajwa to become the so-called "her fun mola". Had he been sent home on time at the end of his BPS-21 career after the first 3 years, a lot of what you all complain about would not have happened. As I always say, spinning up mea-culpas after the extension isn't cutting it.

So I am done with this finger pointing in only one direction because it is not the reality despite what a certain political demographic may want to convey. Deals were made behind closed doors and backs were scratched. You put a general in a situation where he is elevated beyond his BPS-21 role then you have only yourself to blame. Someone has to bell the cat. IK had the chance but he lost the initiative as over time, he owed too much to his benefactor.

Coming back to the topic on hand, MQM was divided to create the space for PTI et-al. If things were left to their natural order in Karachi, MQM's support would coalesce again and they would become a formidable political entity in the city. I doubt PTI, PPP or the establishment would want that.
