Boeing (NYSE: BA) has won a $1,837,230,500 U.S. Air Force contract to develop upgrade kits for 68 F-15 jets, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia will receive the kits through a foreign military sales agreement.
The company will convert the jets to the F-15SA configuration, install four base stand-up kits, provide trial kits and develop a country standard time compliance technical order.
According to the Pentagon, work should finish by Dec. 31, 2013 and Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity.
In December, the U.S. signed a nearly $29 billion agreement with Saudi Arabia to sell 84 F-15 jets and upgrade 70 more existing F-15 jets.
