Aircraft get struck by lightning all the time and 737 NG has remarkable flight safety.

737 is the biggest scam by Boeing.
They just charged almost 2.5 Billion USD for that scam by the court.

There is nothing wrong to spend a couple of bucks, and using Airbus in your flight

Did the modern planes designed to face such kind of turbulence in the air?

Anyway severe turbulence category only rise/drop up to 30 meters.
This one is 10,000ft in less than half minute (26 seconds).

Struck by lightning probably. Loss 10,000 feet in less than one minute

10000 ft a minute is freefall, something sudden and catastrophic happened.

Their safety record is even worse than Pakistan. Why do people fly with such airlines? I would rather trust Singapore or Geruda or Malaysian!

Very sad news indeed. My thoughts and prayers are with the families involved.

Looking at all the data around, my analysis leads me to believe that the plane took a nose dive with engines still at high thrust, thus the continuous increase in speed during freefall. Leads me to believe that it may be due to Autopilot fail or Adverse weather conditions or a combination of the two (JUST MY OPINION!).

I pray for the families, as this is truly a gut wrenching ordeal
