Bangladesh Naval Ship BNS Dhaleshwari arrived at the Port of Colombo today (29th January 2011) on a goodwill visit. Upon her arrival at the port, she was ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy.
BNS Dhaleshwari is an Offshore Patrol Vessel belonging to the Bangladesh Navy. It is 81 meters in length. The ship complement consists of 58 naval personnel including 09 officers and 49 sailors and she bears a displacement of 1427tons.
The ship stays until 31st and its crew is scheduled to participate in a series of special programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy to enhance the relationship between the two Navies.
