Blunders and Promises of PML-N government Database

He's a industrialist with huge business backing in Pakistan. Manmohan's Singh has made India the 10th largest economy of the world so he's also seen as a industrialist by Nawaz Sharif.

Once Pakistani economy picks up, it will be difficult to slow down and it will also silence his Nawaz Sharif's opponents. Both India and Pakistan can benefit immensely by normalising relations.

But most importantly, Nawaz Sharif has visions of a Great Pakistan which he feels he was stopped from bringing to fruition in 1999 so he's trying to prove himself.

Yes, there are issues of corruption and all that but that's not his fault - it's the culture of third world countries.

In 1999 when Nawaz was ousted he left the country with less than $1 billion in the reserves and a growth rate of 1.7%

Can you explain this?

If he couldn't then, what makes you think he can do now?

Yes, i can explain this.

Pakistan was under severe Western sanctions.

A humble question for you brother.
What was the size of Chinese GDP in 1999 and what is it now? Can you answer this?

His victory speech came at 9 o clock, the polling time was 6 o clock.

Koi had hai.

Anyways, let's see waday puray hotay hain ya nhn.

I wish you were also living in this IT/Technology age then would have know that, that victory speech came when polling results started to come, and about 95% of the NA seats have given 34% results, which were giving pretty clear trend of voting/results. But who cares here, we are conspiracy followers, so without it can't live on.

Leaders have to be judged not on the promises made in the heat of electoral warfare, but on the difference they make between the start and finish of their terms.

Nawaz brought deregulation to South Asia in 1991. His policies were reversed by PPP. In India, which followed Pakistan into deregulation, the policies were followed by both Congress & BJP. See the difference. Kids need to study a little before launching tirades.

This thread would turn out to be a waste of time. Politicians are best weighed in terms of their accomplishments, not promises.

KARACHI: Former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif said that a Metro Bus project would be launched soon in Karachi, reported Geo News on Wednesday.

Shahbaz, in an interview to journalist Kamran Khan during his show on Geo TV, said that launching the metro bus project in Karachi would be Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s (PML-N) top priority after coming into power.

The former minister also said that the load shedding issue would be addressed by adopting short, medium and long-term measures.

Shahbaz said that the short-term measure would include a check on power theft and line losses, while recovery of bills from provinces will also be ensured. “The recovered money will be injected into the system which will serve two aims – stopping the circular debt from snowballing further and generating more power,” he was further quoted as saying.

In the long-run, additional power would be generated through available resources including coal reserves, he said.
“We developed Punjab, we will build Pakistan on the same lines,” he vowed.

I guess PTI supporters haven't yet accepted their defeat. Thats why this doom and gloom talk is still not out of this forum. We are at the beginning of a new era of democracy and these people are behaving like children.

Mareer Chowk expansion project progressing at snail’s pace
Saturday, May 18, 2013

RAWALPINDI: The slackness of the concerned authorities has slowed down the pace of Mareer Chowk expansion project, it has been learnt.

Sources said the first half of the project seems not to be completed till June 30, 2013 despite various announcements by the concerned authorities. According to sources, one half of the Mareer Chowk bridge would be constructed in the first phase, while work on the other half would be started after that. Funds for the project have already been released, they added.

One of the reasons behind the delay is stated to be Rawalpindi Development Authority’s (RDA) reliance on one deputy director for the projects while chief engineer and director engineering were not being involved in the projects.

Meanwhile, the completion of Shah Khalid Colony Railway Underpass on stipulated time ie; before the deadline of May 31, also seems to be delayed. inp

not done by Pmln but it was necessary

I hope the new government ends all subsidies on everything that is imported in the country and Pakistani people pay the international price on all things. These subsidies have raked up unbelievable amount of internal debt for the country which has so far hampered development in all sectors of the economy.

I have to admit, the 2008-2013 government rule has been the worst in Pakistan's history, very shortsighted, careless and hurtful to Pakistan.

I hope both Prime Ministers Yusuf Raza Gilani and Pervez Ashraf are put on the Exit Control List and questioned for mismanagement and negligence in regards to the economy.
