Blast near Shia mosque in Saudi Arabia, two killed

Only Islam will be the salvation. Everything else has failed. What is material wealth good for when all this happens around us? Nothing but personal ego.

Your interpretation of Islam will be the salvation? Or someone elses interpretation..
There are several sects within both the Sunni and Shia school.
Only option is to respect each others belief, even if you disagree with them.

Wow, this is quite a departure from your previous stance on Shias and coexistence.
Didnt think it would come to this...

I can't blame him considering how much rhetoric Shia's level against his country. Read your forums dude, there is 24/7 anti-Sunni rhetoric. A whole forum section dedicated to Imam Mahdi, which in it discussion about every Sunni nation in the ME and how they're followers of Satan/USA/Israel/Sufyani and that God willed Saudi Arabia is given to the 'true' Muslims ie. Shia's and how that this will happen or how 'revolution' will be exported there and how Mahdi will come kill all Nasibis, etc...

It's one thing to hold different beliefs but it's another to be so hostile and insist you follow the right madhab even though religious debates proved otherwise. And it's very common belief in Shia's that they will create their empire after Shia rebellion in KSA and making eastern KSA part of their own state. A lot of Shia's put out rhetoric that Houthis in Yemen are going to topple Saudi government and they are the army of Mahdi and all this other beliefs. There is much demonization against Sunni's which is mostly about ambition for power but you guys are using religion as a tool. Even though Sunnis reject your beliefs you're enforcing that they're correct and changing history by telling the whole world Sahaba are hated by Prophet Muhammad and that Shia's are loved by Muhammad and that Sunni's are just false people who changed Islam when reality Sunni Islam is the same Islam that Muhammad taught.

Yeah, Saudi is just very peace loving. Never mind decades of constant propaganda against Iran. Or hey, the fact that their fat POS previous king BEGGED the US to bomb Iran. Missed those cables? Get real yeah? If anything, the PGCC and Iran need to come together and figure it out like men, not retarted Islamists. Even though perhaps they don't need to be buddies, the level of tension has GOT to go down a couple of pegs.

You can't respect Shia beliefs when in reality shia's are secular and don't care at all about religion but preach the opposite in order to get a claim of authority in Arab world. I doubt any shia actually believes in his madhab or that Prophet's closest friends were actually his enemies. That's just Shia's way to say 'screw you Muslims'. They altered Islam in order to delegatmize Muslims and shia Islam is only compatible with Iranians. Or wannabe Iraqi Iranians. Many members of Iraqi government whom are Shia speak Farsi, also Nasrallah for example was taught in Iran and I'm sure he can speak it too.

I have done research on Shia madhab myself, never bothered to get knowledge from clerics. I searched history, differences of madhab on my own and decided to come to my own conclusion. To say the least, I can't in no way believe in it. It seems like someone trolled around with Islam in order to distort original Islam.

You are agnostic, not sure why but probably because you also couldn't take your beliefs seriously. So we may agree that the beliefs don't make sense. But being iranian background, of course you still have feelings for your people.

.
It is what it is. No need to fool myself. I don't believe in a peaceful ME anymore. This current fight will only end when one of the two sides will be victorious and I stand alongside my people just like Shia's stand alongside their own.

Peace is supposed to be the end goal but humanity has always been killing each other for silly reasons all over the planet.

What is going on in the ME is no laughing joke though.

I personally might be able to coexist with everyone out there but my family did not perish in a barrel bombing, or were targeted in a suicide attack, murdered, attacked etc. like many families in the ME.

Only Islam will be the salvation. Everything else has failed. What is material wealth good for when all this happens around us? Nothing but personal ego. There is a life after this one. We have to fight for our basic rights.

Pro Iran-Mullah Shia's are poles apart from the majority of us Arabs and Sunni Muslims and there is no need to make a secret out of this.

Those two groups are taking part in the same conflicts on two different sides. It's either us or you. This won't end in our life time at least. You can bet on that.

Can I suggest that rather than it being the salvation, it's one of the main problems?

What the M.E needs is secular states with complete freedom of religion. Something that is a personal choice, not controlled by the state.

Is it any surprise that the most successful states in the M.E (socially, not just in terms of economics) are secular?

Islam has been a stagnant religion and culture for a long time. It's become a politicised religion that does not promote debate or freedoms. It doesn't promote individual success, often doesn't promote education and doesn't exactly pioneer much . It's not dynamic, it's archaic.

Perhaps this is Islam's reformation. Perhaps it needs to go through catastrophic conflicts to come out on the other side a more 'spiritual' version rather than the politicised and militarised we see today.

My Islam is that which 90% of all the 1.7 billion Muslims follow with very few differences as a whole.

I attended the salat al-jum'ah today and from what I could see and hear there were at least 20 nationalities and there was no difference between us.

One thing is religion and another thing is politics.

Besides I am not in favor of enforcing anything on anyone.

I am not calling for any attacks on anybody all I am saying is that people hostile towards my religion, people (Arabs) and lands (Arab world) will be met with the same hostility. The Iranian regime, their proxies/allies and supporters are people who are against us on all fronts thus they are considered as enemies.

You think the same about us.

Thus it is what it is. I can either pretend (like I did for years) that everything is fine and that only a vocal minority is causing trouble but the reality is that even us Muslims based outside of the MENA region can't even have genuinely good ties. There is never any genuine support or cooperation. It's always about rivalry or differences. Am I supposed to ignore that?

Am I supposed to just accept the plans that your regime and their proxies have for this region and work actively for? Of course not.

This is nothing personal as I am not part of any battlefront. I am talking in general.

That's why I have called for no relations between the Arab world and Iran. Like it no relations at all. I even wrote that I believe that all Iranians on PDF should be banned from writing in Arab topics (such as this one) and vice versa when it comes to Arabs writing on Iranian topics although they are a tiny, tiny minority in comparison here on PDF and in general elsewhere.

You accuse all of us ordinary Sunni Muslim Arabs of being ISIS 24/7 (almost everyone of us) while you never criticize the Al-Assad regime, the crimes of Shia militias in Iraq and Syria, the crimes of Houthi's etc.

I am not talking about Shia Arabs as 95% of us live in peace together in all Arab countries.

So yes, the solution is simple. Avoid each other and have no contact.

Maybe it will change when your Mullah's will be removed but that won't happen in your life time or if the Arab regimes will be removed. I don't know.

I stand with my religion (Islam) and people (Arabs) and if that makes me ISIS then so be it.

In reality ISIS is just a symptom of the overall disease in the ME whose roots and causes can be found on many fronts. Those crying about ISIS support smaller or similar "ISIS" elsewhere when it suits them.

Iranians/Shias crying about House of Saud while staying silent about their own regime which is not any better in fact worse on many fronts.

Iranians/Shias crying about ISIS but ignoring/cheerleading for Al-Assad's regime.

Vice versa too.

So you tell me who is fooling himself?

Generally speaking people on forums (on BOTH sides) are very nationalistic and bash their perceived rivals. You make it seem as this is phenomenon exclusive to Iranians. In other posts you are saying Iran is pursuing nationalist agenda. Which is correct, but how is that different from any other country including Saudi Arabia? All states pursues national interests as it perceives them. Stop pretending as this is some kind of Iranian or Shia "phenomenon"

And I can find equally, if not more, vile words lobbed against my country and against Shia Islam from the other side. That Shias are heretics, conspirators, perverters of Islam bla . Or racist slurs against Iranians such as "farsi dogs", "rafida", "kawli", "majoos". In fact these slurs take place much more often in this forum that whatever insults you think we are throwing at you.
You should be consistent and not look at it only from one side.
I havent seen many Iranians in this forum talk ill of Sunnis. Overwhelming majority of Sunnis are normal civilized people and they dont subscribe to that ancient prehistoric and barbaric ideology that ISIS represents.
Takfiris and Sunnis are not synonymous. That group that Iranians bash are the extreme minority group of Sunni Islam (actually I would not even call them Sunnis, just mindless monsters), that even most Sunnis outright reject.

Anyway, I sense this discussion is going to turn even more sectarian than it already is. So I think it is best to stop it here.

There will never be peace with any Farsis as long as 450 million Arabs are alive. You Shits can try to attack us and you will see how that will end up.

House of Saud is actually your main ally on this front. They are trying to keep it under control but they will eventually fail as long as you Shits and Nusayris are doing genocide in Syria and Iraq.
Where YOU wahabi were, when Saddam did shia genocide in millions. Now shia houthi . Killed thousands of shia in Afghanistan by your followers and your type of breed. Now look at your ISIS , which is now inside your country. Your type made Pakistan a living hell. Lost thousands of Pakistani.

Nope, solution is securing your interests. It's in our interest from every aspect to destroy the Israeli and Iranian regimes otherwise prosperity isn't possible at all. There will be nothing short of destroying these regimes. If you don't want to be part of the developments in the ME than pack your bags and go return to your original European nations of origin.

I agree Arabs have nationalists as well but they don't have religious rhetoric or claim divine guidance regarding their agenda. They tend to be liberal and have their own visions. Some of which make sense some don't. Iranians for most part share cultural sentiment against Arabs. Whether secular or religious, and most of their agenda revolves around Saudi Arabians and the 'wahabi' phenomena.

.
The shia have always faced terror, suicide attacks and oppression. Even the alawites of Syria which are demonized today, we never hear about how they were killed, tortured and oppressed by sunni arabs and sunni ottomans during ottoman empire.

There are no realistic solutions to for this problem, like abolishing the aggressive hanbali religion and converting them into sunni islam (hanafi). All these tolerance talks by salafists/children of ibn-taymiya is just a show for outsiders. Already 2 suicide bomb attacks in a week time and many innocents killed.

Till when this is supposed to go on? till a shia becomes like them and blows himself up? no that will not happen, however the shia have the right to form armed groups and defend themselves if the government does not defend them, or even spreads anti-shia ideologies into the world. In Iraq shia militias were formed after salafi terrorism.

Im sorry but that is just utterly and patently false. (as far as this forum is concerned)

Funny how you tried to play smart and ignored rest of my post, which was too harsh for you it seems.
sadly news of tragedies and celebrations always end up in insult matches between us. completely forgetting that some people lost their lives due to no fault of their own.

We (Pakistanis) have faced this Saudi imported Sectarianism from decades, thousands of Pakistanis have died because some Pakistanis decided to follow Saudi ideology. It is sad the Shia minority of Saudia have to face the monster created by Saudia. RIP to the innocent.

My agnosticism has nothing to do with Shia Islam per se. Not sure why you bring it up.
I am agnostic because religion (regardless of which one) does not interest me. I however care about religious freedom and tolerance, and respecting others beliefs, even if you do not agree with them. Otherwise conflict ensues.
Like I said, I think it would be best to stop the discussion here, on the account of it turning more sectarian. And that is exactly what happened.

Im really disappointed in you Hazzy.

Of course Jews were there a long time before the word 'Arab' was even known and before the Arabic language was created - so they are completely indigenous and will not be moved by any means.

I thought you might have known that by now, given how many defeats your people have suffered in trying to remove Israel from the middle east. The Jewish people have thrived there despite the adversity they face. In fact, many say that Jews have thrived because of the adversity they face.

If Arabs in the M.E want to know how to create free, stable, democratic countries - they should look no further than to the Jews for advice.

A people that have created an amazing country in just 67 short years.

I believe that one of the sore points for the Arabs (if they're honest with themselves) is that they have seen the Jewish people turn a malaria-infested barren land, into an extremely successful nation that pioneers, innovates and leads in many fields.

Whilst they have gone backwards. Arabs used to pioneer. Not any longer and it hurts them. It hurts their pride. They long for the glory days when the Arab world was respected, not derided. I can understand that.
