Im seeing little to no news regarding counter terrorism operations? What is happening? Is it all being done under the table, away from the public eye, or has some sort of ceasefire or something happened that i missed?

Has about 1.8 million population. Why not announce a special package and fix up the roads, schools, hospitals, water supplies etc. It looks like they may be struggling with flour, rice, water etc as its desert then why doesn't the government announce special help for them.

Far from it. Army is too busy in politics of the country, harassing social media and discouraging sharp criticism of its political intervention. It should disengage from politics (it wont, it will have to be kicked out) and focus on its prime role of national security. Or is it too much to ask it?

This terrorism is driving away Chinese. We know who the enemy is. But it needs a strong political and military effort. This is not possible with compromised political leadership making decisions from London.

I mean how hard is it to understand for our generals that Pakistan needs a genuine political leadership not one engineered from GHQ? What idiots we have running our country!

Army and ISI instead of issuing warnings should do their DAMN JOBS. If you are an engineer in private firm and your performance is like army's you would have been fired and became unemployable.

That's the case in public bureaucracies, unfortunately. Performance pressure is not that great. Huge issue.

No elected leader, compromised or not, can do anything due to the institutional power imbalances. IK has a historic opportunity to break this historic reality by bringing so much people power that the army does its professional duties and nothing else. Total restructuring and reform of the intel community (IC) and other stuff should follow.

To deal with such threats, you need a globally competitive workforce. We can't even make a website to encourage our best and brightest to join the IC, let alone fight a sophisticated insurgency. R&AW has the benefit of being an external-only agency (like the Mossad, CIA, SVR, MI6, etc.) that isn't busy with domestic political engineering.
