Just found this sorry if already posted but that is a hell of thing to do lol. Look at the plane in one piece and not have any other big damage that is surly a proof of How Perfect our Pilots are .

What do you think of this...
On February 4, 1986, AP-AYW made belly landing at Islamabad Airport around 9:00 AM in the morning. The Boeing 747 was arriving as PIA flight PK-300 from Karachi with 247 passengers and 17 crew members onboard. Luckily everyone survived this accident caused by pilot error. AP-AYW was repaired with Boeing Company's technical assistance

Wonder why did he not jettison the fuel tanks on the wings. Even if they are empty, they are supposed to be jettisoned before attempting a belly landing. Was it a malfunction? Like the one incurred by one of those infamous Hurricanes bought from Australia after the independence?

This 'full of himself' captain didn't listen to his co-pilot telling him that the gears were indeed not down and that the warning signs were not just malfunctioning.

First a big woooow , and after doing that , Sir G its a Pilot Error sokinda his own mistake. But still a hell of a job .

Have No idea boss , may be The Pilot know that he gona need those Tanks , if you look in picture the fuel tanks working like wings support tyre , My guess because of those empty tanks the bird is in on piece SO a smart move from Pilot.

The tanks are supposed to be jettisoned because there is a sizeable risk of them catching fire due to the fuel/fuel vapour present in them and then destroying the whole aircraft.
