Are all Block I, II and B model JF-17s set to get the same upgrades? The engine is still the original RD-93, so it’s most a sub-systems upgrade; one that can be applied across the entire fleet?

Should be possible to rebuild previous Block I and II, as well B model airframes to a common Block III standard, but whether that will happen depends on funding. The JF-17 programme was designed with an open architecture to allow easy retrospective upgrades.

We need to see more of this foresight with 5th gen plans. That is currently lacking.
