What's new

Black men arrested for just sitting at Starbucks

US law is law of jungle, MIGHT IS RIGHT

Buy a pistol load it, with a machine gun full loaded, then no one would dare to talk about law because you will be law yourself. Law of jungle

@HAIDER remember attack on Syria? Based upon which international Law?

For Americans, might is right.

You know that's part of the problem, right? Many people think that's just the way "littering" is spelled.

BTW, not a Starbucks guy. Blue collars we're Dunkin's people. :D

Haha! I bet some people do think that is just another “littering” sign!

I don’t need drink coffee so it’s just Dunkin for Donuts. Not that they are awesome donuts or something. Unlike other people I don’t think Krispy Kreme is much better and worth driving to Medford/Everett (yes, I knew people that trekked there).

You want to talk law? Let's talk law.

(a) Buildings and occupied structures.–

1. A person commits an offense if, knowing that he is not licensed or privileged to do so, he: 1. enters, gains entry by subterfuge or surreptitiously remains in any building or occupied structure or separately secured or occupied portion thereof; or 2. breaks into any building or occupied structure or separately secured or occupied portion thereof. 2. An offense under paragraph (1)(I) is a felony of the third degree, and an offense under paragraph (1)(ii) is a felony of the second degree. 3. As used in this subsection:

“Breaks into” To gain entry by force, breaking, intimidation, unauthorized opening of locks, or through an opening not designed for human access.

(b) Defiant trespasser.–

1. A person commits an offense if, knowing that he is not licensed or privileged to do so, he enters or remains in any place as to which notice against trespass is given by: 1. actual communication to the actor; 2. posting in a manner prescribed by law or reasonably likely to come to the attention of intruders; 3. fencing or other enclosure manifestly designed to exclude intruders; 4. notices posted in a manner prescribed by law or reasonably likely to come to the person’s attention at each entrance of school grounds that visitors are prohibited without authorization from a designated school, center or program official; or 5. an actual communication to the actor to leave school grounds as communicated by a school, center or program official, employee or agent or a law enforcement officer. 2. Except as provided in paragraph (1)(v), an offense under this subsection constitutes a misdemeanor of the third degree if the offender defies an order to leave personally communicated to him by the owner of the premises or other authorized person. An offense under paragraph (1)(v) constitutes a misdemeanor of the first degree. Otherwise it is a summary offense.

(b.1) Simple trespasser.–

1. A person commits an offense if, knowing that he is not licensed or privileged to do so, he enters or remains in any place for the purpose of: 1. threatening or terrorizing the owner or occupant of the premises; 2. starting or causing to be started any fire upon the premises; or 3. defacing or damaging the premises. 2. An offense under this subsection constitutes a summary offense.

Under that law, the Starbucks café is a private properties, although it is a public place, the management of Starbucks have the right to refuse anyone entry or staying INSIDE their coffee house.

The manager, for whatever reason. Requested the 2 people to leave their premises, with the 2 refused to go, an act of criminal trespassing is then occur as per point b.

Police was called on scene for a trespassing call, then as the video show, still ask the person involve to vacate the premises, before making an arrest, the cop ask what the manager want to do with it and the manager suggested for the 2 persons to go somewhere else. For the police to involve the "Somewhere else" would be jail.

I am not for or against the decision on the manager who ask the 2 person to have vacate on the premises, but it is within the right of the manager, as an agent to the owner of the premises to have asked any person to vacate their premises, it may not be the best business strategy, but it is within their right, and once that person(s) refused to leave, an act of criminal trespassing is then committed, and what choice did the police have? When a crime is being reported, and have to follow up?

Under Michigan State law MCL 750.552 Criminal Trespassing.

A person is criminally trespass if

  1. Entered the lands or premises of another without lawful authority and after having been forbidden to do so by the owner or occupant or the agent of the owner or occupant;
  2. Remained without lawful authority on the land or premises of another after being notified to depart by the owner or occupant or the agent of the owner or occupant; or
  3. Entered or remained without lawful authority on fenced or posted farm property of another person without the consent of the owner or his or her lessee or agent. It is important to note that the factual basis for a criminal trespassing charge under this specific provision does not require a request to leave the premises nor does it not apply to a person who is in the process of attempting, by the most direct route, to contact the owner or his or her lessee or agent to request consent.

Man, these are written bullshit

Do what I said, you would be above any national law. If you don't want to be shot In the head for opening a door by mistake, being an Asian or African, law is implemented on weak population of US. Other mighty folks are above law, they can shoot you in the mid way to home, for any excuse according to law. If you bypass red light, being a black Negro, they will shoot the shit out of you. Try to be above law, USA is a jungle

Again, whatever the manager see is his business. The police did what they need to do, which is someone report a crime, they response to it.

If you think this is jungle law, then I don't want to live where you lived, because you are probably living in somewhere worse off than a jungle. I invite you to openly challenge any country that can do better than the jungle law in the US.

Again, if you know shit about something, better not talk about it like you are an expert.

So you are a Chinese :omghaha:

Pull that mask off your face dude, you are too pathetic to be a liar troll

They wouldn't shoot the guy if he was a white, deal with it.

Krispy Kreme donuts are the BEST! They're bigger, fresher, softer and if they're filled with jelly or apple fritter ayayaya!

A.) What does whether or not I am Chinese have anything to do with this?
B.)Shoot what guy? Did the 2 guy get shot? Did you actually read the news before you commented?

I don't give a flying fark you dislike America, get in line, but I do mind if you pull something that's have nothing to do with anything with it and pretend you know everything. If in this case the police is wrong, then you got a point, but it turns out you wasn't even know what is going on here. The cop shot him? Shot who?

If you have to hate, hate it for the right reason, otherwise you are as bad as the stuff/person/country you hate. It's that simple.

Lol! I can tell you didn’t run the Marathon on Monday...not that I could. I saw this 70yr old jogging by me today while I was walking to the bus. Kind of makes you wonder.

.
If this was in China, Mr. terrifiedMaid would have agreed with you.

I try to stay away from the China subject TBH, lol. I know it's a huuuugeah battle here on PDF between Americans and Chinese, I try to be nuetral on that end.

I was watching the last episode of VICE the other day and it was about security and surveillance in many cities in China. They use a really sophisticated facial recognition software and have security cameras all over the place in many cities and with that facial recognition, they can ID every single person walking in the street in real time. It's crazy! Just like anything else, though, it has its benefits and its drawbacks for sure since they can track and catch criminals with that which is what they do, but naturally there's a huge privacy problem with that. I thought it was fascinating.

I was giving some examples of this jungle, thread is an example. Here

Law of jungle, again, if he the dude was a mighty white, law didn't get implemented.

This thread is a simple example of US society, and I will wait until you pull that Chinese mask

So, you admit you don't even know what this threat is about?

let me give you another piece of information

Since 2015, American Police shot more white people than black according to the count (A project by the guardian to record the circumstance of on the job killing)

Exactly, Not mighty white. Ahah, you cannot comprehend my quotes, do what I said. In a jungle, you have to be mighty, racism in USA gets applied on white migrants too. Your provided info makes no difference, doesn't make you a Chinese dude :sarcastic:
